Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer.
Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A. Measure and improve the efficiency of high bay and low bay
B. This position is focused on developing and improving manufacturing processes for new, existing products and continuous improvement.
C. Support production activities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Leads the creation of manufacturing processes, routings, and drawings.
B. Analyze problems and supervise corrections related to machine capability and production rates (OEE). Maintain and improve current manufacturing processes to produce parts to specification.
C. Maintain, measure, and improve Efficiency.
D. Leads cross functional Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) teams
E. Investigate, analyze, and recommend new and/or alternate equipment and manufacturing methods
F. Manage suppliers to ensure on time execution of projects
G. Recommend and implement improvements to existing manufacturing operations
H. Measurement and improvement of machine cycle times
I. Support for cost reduction MRO
J. Implementation of model stations compliance with cp-cpk
K. Support improvement activities to reduce scrap
L. Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of zero accidents, prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control, and administer risk and danger in own area.
M. Promotes the company’s vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
N. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
O. Define, implement, and execute an optimal Head Count according to process design.
P. Assure on time and proper execution of LPA´s according to plant schedule.
Q. Execute ideas per employee program according to plant strategy.
R. Six Sigma certification (YB/GB/BB).
S. Maintain and improve/reduce Cost Per Unit per Forged and/or Machined piece.
T. Support for SUR Events/Strategy.
U. Assures adherence to plant strategy of LSW.
V. Participation on time and proper execution of 5´s strategy according to plant schedule.
W. Assures on time participation to Tier Meetings.
X. Assures adherence to Flex Vs Forecast.
Y. Implement and execute Cost Out projects.
Z. Support for operations to achieve and accomplish the schedule adherence.
AA. Support to assure overtime rate.
BB. Leader to create functional capabilities by assuring the % of BPS Certifications
CC. Leader to execute % of Training plan by department
DD. MOC Compliance
A. Bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
B. Fluent in Spanish and English
C. Minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
D. Lean Manufacturing Principles
E. Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD systems. CAD - 3D Modeling
F. Professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering (Relevant Processes):
Automated Material Handling
Grinding (Centerless, OD, ID)
Machining (CNC Turning)
Metal Forming
Welding
Surface Treatments
Heat Treatment
Chrome
• Must embrace learning
• Must be able to work with limited, and remote, supervision
• Must be capable of handling multiple projects at a time
• Must be comfortable interfacing with customers and all levels of management
• Must be able to function in multicultural work environments
• High level of creativity in creating unique solutions
• BSME or BS Manufacturing Technology
