In this role, you will join the EMEA Deliver Value Added Services (VAS) organization, a team responsible for enabling regional product customization and operational excellence across the Medtronic supply chain. The VAS team delivers services such as product configuration, labeling, kitting, and packaging that support market-specific requirements while ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency.

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and improving Value Added Services (VAS) processes that support Medtronic products across the EMEA region. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to drive operational excellence, support new product introductions, and ensure compliant and efficient value added service operations. You will be expected to work minimum 4 days on-site with 1 day working from home.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of value added service processes including kitting, labeling, packaging, and product configuration. Develop and maintain documentation such as work instructions, process flows, risk assessment documentation, and control plans.
  • Support process validation activities and ensure compliance with Medtronic quality system requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions related to VAS processes.
  • Drive standardization of best practices across VAS operations.
  • Specify, implement, and validate equipment, tooling, and automation solutions that support VAS operations. Support equipment qualification and validation activities. Ensure proper lifecycle management and maintenance strategies for equipment.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product teams to support new product introductions and product lifecycle changes. Provide technical leadership for process transfers, operational scaling, and deployment of VAS capabilities.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to align with Medtronic strategies and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to Medtronic quality systems, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures. Support internal and external audits and maintain inspection readiness.
  • Identify process risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and operations personnel. Lead or support cross functional projects focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and capacity expansion.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor (or Master) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience in a regulated industry.
  • Experience with process development, process validation, and quality systems.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages in a professional business environment.

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik: Netherlands: 69,040.00 EUR - 103,560.00 EUR | This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
