
As a Sr. Manager/Sr. Staff Software Engineer in the Energy Markets Application Services Team, you will lead advanced software development for Power Systems Applications. Your primary focus will be on delivering specific functionalities to meet corporate project and product objectives. Responsibilities include collaborating with team working with Electric Utilities or Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Transmission and Distribution System Operators to develop functional software specifications, followed by designing, coding, testing, integration, application tuning, and delivery.
You will leverage your extensive industry, domain, and technical software expertise to actively participate in business development, team grooming, strategic planning, requirements management, design, construction (including bespoke software development), and the comprehensive implementation of the GE Vernova GridOS Markets solution that drive the success and growth of our Energy Markets services.

As a senior member of the Software Center of Excellence, exemplifying high-quality design, development, testing, and delivery practices.
Responsible for enhancing, evolving, and supporting high-availability Electricity Energy Market Management System (MMS).
Drive business and talent growth to meet industry expertise and delivery capabilities.
Identify and address potential growth needs for all team members to elevate overall performance.
Work closely with global stakeholders, including managers and SMEs from different regions, to ensure effective team utilization.
Foster a work culture at all levels that is positive, collaborative, respectful, innovative, dynamic, with high integrity, and capable of driving positive change over sustained periods of time.
Lead and support implementation of advanced Power Systems Application software to fulfill project and product commitments.
Provide domain knowledge and technical leadership to a team of electricity markets application software engineers, continually increasing team impact on business.
Collaborate with customers and project team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure software quality and functionality meet standards and requirements.
Interact with Product Development Teams, Customers, Solution Providers, and cross-functional teams as needed. Support sales activities by providing technical demos and identifying future upsell opportunities.
Apply SDLC principles and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product security, scalability, and testing techniques.
Identify project delivery risks, recommending potential mitigation strategies, in collaboration with Project Manager
Support marketing efforts for proposals and demonstrations to potential customers. Participate in pre-sales activities, including leading the SOW deliverables, and assumptions creation
Basic Qualification
Master's / Doctorate degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) or equivalent.
12 + years of experience in Power System Domain and software development experience
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to deliver both formal and informal presentations to technical and non-technical staff and customers.
Proficiency in interacting and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Hands-on experience with software development for energy exchange/markets applications would be preferred.
