Job Description

The Company

Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what we've started: Improving human health.

We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.

Meet the team:

We’re building a new engineering organization in Bengaluru to help scale Dexcom’s HCP (Healthcare Professionals) platforms, including Clarity—Dexcom’s data analytics and reporting platform for CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) that transforms glucose data into actionable insights to improve diabetes care.

This is a builder role where you will establish and grow a high-impact team from the ground up—hiring, shaping culture, and defining how we work. You will partner closely with US-based engineering, product, design, and quality leaders, acting as a bridge to enable strong alignment and execution across time zones.

The platform processes large-scale patient data and powers clinical insights used by healthcare professionals worldwide. As a result, quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance are foundational to everything we build.

We value high trust, ownership, and thoughtful problem-solving over hierarchy or heavy process. This is an opportunity to shape not just the software, but also the culture, engineering practices, and long-term success of a globally distributed team.

Where you come in:

  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing engineering team in Bengaluru
  • Own end-to-end delivery across a distributed India–US team, driving high-quality execution at scale
  • Partner with US-based leaders to shape roadmaps, align priorities, and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Lead development of scalable, reliable systems for high-volume healthcare data
  • Lead architecture and technical decision-making across a polyglot stack (Node, Ruby, Scala, Go, SvelteKit, Ember)
  • Establish best practices across quality, observability, and operational excellence
  • Ensure systems meet performance, security, and compliance requirements
  • Develop engineers and emerging leaders through coaching and feedback
  • Identify risks early and drive cross-team alignment and resolution

What makes you successful:

  • You lead through trust and influence, not control or hierarchy.
  • 10+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years managing engineering teams
  • Proven track record of building and scaling teams, ideally in global and distributed environments
  • Strong technical background in modern web architectures and distributed systems
  • Experience leading teams responsible for production systems with high reliability and data integrity requirements
  • Experience balancing delivery speed with quality and compliance expectations, especially in regulated or high-accountability environments
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and quality teams
  • Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and operational excellence
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on execution levels
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and ability to influence without authority

Nice to have:

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA, FDA, or similar)
  • Experience with data platforms or analytics products
  • Experience building teams or development centers in India
  • Exposure to SRE, observability, and incident management practices

What you’ll get:

  • A front row seat to life changing CGM technology. Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community
  • A full and comprehensive benefits program.
  • Growth opportunities on a global scale.
  • Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.
  • An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.

Travel Required:

  • 0-5%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of industry experience
  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience
