Position Summary

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Strategy and Operations Lead with previous accounting or professional services experience, to join our Tax service line leadership team.

Work You’ll Do

Our Strategy and Operations Lead is a strategic and critically important role enabling a leader by effectively setting and executing strategic vision and plan, driving operational effectiveness, and contributing to the growth and support of market offerings. Additionally, this position will prepare and/or conduct the facilitation of leadership meetings and working sessions. Our Strategy and Operations Lead will also be a part of the broader Strategy & Operations leadership group across offerings, driving collaborative progress and GT&L strategic priorities (not working only in a GES silo).

Responsibilities:

  • Development of strategies (in alignment with Global T&L and overall MF strategies) and management of portfolio of strategic projects
  • Leadership and management of special complex projects with multiple work streams and multiple stakeholders, some confidential or time sensitive
  • Development of context for leadership-level communication with various stakeholders including country, regional/MF, and global and external stakeholders
  • Work with the stakeholders, offering leaders, and MF T&L Leaders on behalf of global GES leadership to move forward topics/projects on their own, and to create content that can be disseminated to the GES practice and the public (as appropriate)
  • Respond to queries on behalf of global GES leadership which would mean having a close operational and strategic understanding of the business and knowing when to consult and when tot assume responsibility.

The Team

At Deloitte Tax LLP, our Global Employer Services mobility tax professionals assist our international clients in managing employer and individual income tax obligations for their mobile employees working abroad and inbound which includes but not limited to reviewing and signing income tax returns and reviewing cost projections. In addition to managing compliance, the practice consults clients to develop international assignment programs and policies and to minimize tax obligations through the use of effective tax planning.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of related experience with Deloitte Tax or other tax consulting firm in a client facing or management level support role
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Strong project management/delivery skills for working with senior leaders
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Strong executive communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill to influence, articulate, and implement the business and Talent strategy; thought leadership (includes innovation/creativity, leveraging best practices and outside eminence)
  • Experience with or strong working knowledge of the internal Talent organization
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
