Job Description

This position is #Hybrid, working in the offce 3 days a week.

You will support the Director in leading a team of Space Planning professionals serving leading CPG manufacturers. Overseeing Walmart category reviews, MOD relay execution, planogram development, and category management initiatives across multiple retail channels.

You will be responsible for project delivery, resource planning, client communication, quality assurance, associate development, and budget management while driving the adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions. As a key operational partner, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client and business objectives.

  • Support the Director by leading a team supporting Walmart category reviews, MOD development and relays, planogram development, floor planning, and related category management initiatives.
  • Manage client engagements from project intake through execution, including scope, timelines, staffing, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, providing project updates and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Optimize team performance through workload management, resource planning, coaching, and professional development.
  • Drive the adoption of Blue Yonder Space Planning, automation tools, standardized processes, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement process improvements across planning, execution, reporting, and project closeout.
  • Partner with leadership on solution design, Statements of Work, proposals, client presentations, business reviews, and opportunities to expand services

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • 3+ years of related experience in Category Management, Space Planning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Space Planning experience, preferably supporting Walmart or other Tier 1 grocery retailers within the CPG industry.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Proficiency in Blue Yonder/JDA Space Planning tools and syndicated data platforms, including Scintilla, Circana/IRI, and NIQ/Nielsen.
  • Advanced analytical, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, influence stakeholders, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Category Management certification
  • Experience with Blue Yonder Category Knowledge Base or related enterprise space-management environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit for extended periods (typically 6+ hours per day).
  • Use a computer, including keyboard and mouse, for prolonged periods.
  • Lift and carry light items (e.g., files, office supplies, laptops, typically 20+ pounds).
  • Reach, bend, or stoop occasionally to access files or office materials.
  • Maintain focus and attention for long periods of desk-based work.
  • Follow clear directions.
  • Perform repetitive motions (e.g., typing, clicking) consistently throughout the day.
