Job Description

Are you ready to define and drive the strategic vision for supply chain planning across one of Amazon's fastest-growing markets? MX Supply Chain is seeking a Sr. Manager, S&OP and IB to establish and lead the end-to-end First Mile strategy for Mexico — setting the direction for demand planning, capacity optimization, inventory management, and inbound across the entire MX network.

Amazon is one of the world's most recognized brands, distributing millions of products annually to loyal customers across the globe. As Sr. Manager, S&OP and IB, you will own the strategic planning framework that connects Retail, FBA, and External Fulfillment business channels to downstream operations, transportation, and finance teams. You will operate as a leader of leaders within a high-performance environment, building organizational capability, setting multi-year planning roadmaps, and driving scalable, network-level improvements across Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain, and Transportation networks.

This role requires a supply chain leader who can navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders across multiple organizations, and translate complex trade-offs between capacity, cost, and customer experience into executable strategies. You will define inventory and storage policies, establish forecasting frameworks across all channels (AFN, USF, EF), and drive cross-border and domestic inbound optimization — all while building and developing a high-performing team of managers and individual contributors.

Key job responsibilities
Set the end-to-end S&OP and Inbound strategy for the MX network, defining planning frameworks, forecasting methodologies, and capacity allocation across all business channels
Stablishing organizational structure, development plans, and succession strategies that scale with business growth
Own the demand-to-operations planning bridge — translating business forecasts into actionable capacity, transportation, and inventory plans in partnership with Retail, FBA, Finance, Transportation, and Operations leadership
Design and implement network-level optimization strategies for first mile flows
Drive strategic planning cycles for Mexico operations, authoring executive-grade narratives that articulate multi-year vision, investment requirements, and trade-off decisions for VP-level audiences
Establish governance mechanisms, KPI frameworks, and escalation processes that ensure planning rigor, forecast accuracy, and backlog management at scale
Identify and sponsor transformational initiatives — from process redesign to automation — that deliver measurable improvements in cost, speed, and inventory efficiency across the network
Proactively assess systemic risks across the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies with minimal direction, influencing cross-functional teams to act decisively

About the team
The S&OP and IB team is responsible for forecasting and planning inbound and outbound flows across the entire MX network, striving to achieve optimal forecast accuracy through continuous data analysis. The team coordinates with Retail, Finance, Transportation, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain movement between facilities while identifying opportunities for network efficiency improvements, inventory optimization, and cost reduction. This is a leader-of-leaders role with direct accountability for organizational design, team development, and multi-year strategic planning.
