Primary Purpose

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Lead Exelon's enterprise social media strategy and operations, overseeing the development and execution of strategic, innovative and data-driven social media communications that support the company's brand, business objectives and reputation. Serve as the enterprise leader for social media governance, editorial alignment, content development, audience growth, monitoring and response, social listening, paid social media, and platform management across Exelon and its family of companies. Responsible for developing and executing Exelon's online engagement program; coordinating and expanding an internal online outreach and amplification program, thought leadership and business priorities; and managing enterprise-wide social media platforms. Partner closely with social media leads across Exelon's six utilities to create content, share best practices, align editorial planning, and coordinate a unified enterprise social media strategy. Coordinate with internal communications, media relations, marketing, brand, content, executive communications and operating company teams to ensure integrated communications execution. Provide strategic counsel to senior executives and communications leadership on social media strategy, emerging trends, reputation management, stakeholder engagement and digital communications opportunities. Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for enterprise social media programs and initiatives.

Primary Duties

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, manage and execute Exelon's enterprise social media strategy, including organic and paid campaigns, audience growth, governance, social listening and performance measurement. Lead day-to-day direction of social media resources supporting Exelon's business and reputation objectives, including monitoring and coordinating response as appropriate. (25%)
  • Manage enterprise-wide social media platforms and coordinate with social media leads across Exelon's six utilities to create content, align editorial calendars, share best practices and execute a unified social media strategy across the enterprise. (20%)
  • Develop and execute an enterprise social media engagement strategy and coordinate Exelon's employee ambassador program. Leverage social media accounts to amplify company messaging, thought leadership, community engagement and strategic priorities while ensuring alignment with corporate governance and brand standards. (20%)
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior executives, communications leaders and operating companies on social media strategy, digital communications, reputation management, emerging trends, issues management and stakeholder engagement. Develop executive social media strategies and performance reporting. (10%)
  • Lead the planning and execution of integrated communications campaigns in partnership with internal communications, media relations, marketing, brand, customer, content and business teams. Ensure social media supports enterprise business priorities and communications objectiveS (10%)
  • Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff, including performance management, coaching, development, succession planning and resource allocation. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. (10%)
  • Oversee social media advertising, vendor relationships, budgets, contracts and associated funding. Evaluate performance and optimize investment through data-driven decision making. (5%)

� Reports to Director, External Communications � Leads enterprise social media strategy and operations for Exelon and supports alignment across all operating companies. � Supervises social media professionals and related communications resources. � Works continuously and collaboratively with communications, marketing, brand, media relations, customer and operating company leadership. � Requires strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, budget management and execution of enterprise communications initiatives. � Requires high levels of strategic thinking, creativity, digital communications expertise and business judgment. � Some travel required. � Represents communications leadership on social media matters and serves as a key advisor on reputation and stakeholder engagement issues.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

� Four-year degree in Communications, Digital Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field. � Minimum 10 years of communications experience with at least 6 years of significant responsibility in digital and social media communications. � Demonstrated experience leading enterprise social media strategy and integrated communications programs. � Excellent verbal communication, writing, editing and presentation skills. � Strong interpersonal communication, leadership and management skills. � Exceptional strategic thinking, creativity, innovation and organizational sensitivity. � Experience managing social media, content publishing, video and other digital platforms. � Demonstrated experience developing and executing paid and organic social media campaigns. � Experience managing vendors, agencies and budgets. � Experience using analytics and metrics to inform strategy and measure outcomes. � Demonstrated managerial experience, including supervision and development of professional staff. � Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, including senior executives. � Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. � Excellent follow-through capability and a demonstrated ability to drive results through others.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

� Advanced degree in Communications, Digital or Integrated Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or related field; equivalent experience will be considered. � Experience leading integrated marketing, branding and reputation management campaigns. � Experience developing employee ambassador, advocacy and influencer engagement programs. � Strong relationships with leading social media platforms and industry partners. � Experience supporting executive thought leadership and executive communications strategies. � Experience leading enterprise-level brand and reputation initiatives within a highly regulated or complex corporate environment.

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $125,600.00/Yr. – $172,700.00/Yr. plus an additional $25K in Long Term Incentive Plan annually.
