Title: Sr Manager, Social Media
Reports To: Director, Social Strategy, Influencer & Community Marketing
Location: This role will be hybrid, based in our New York Office.

AEO is looking for a candidate who is a social media expert: Expert on working across all social media platforms, with an obvious passion for the entertainment industry, pop culture, style & Gen Z. A passion: to be at the forefront of understanding culture, influencer, and social media trends and serve as an expert in the space. Keen understanding of the current social trends and a proactive approach to what is new and next. Ability to be a storyteller: Possess a knack for storytelling, a keen eye for content, and an ability to analyze what does well with and what doesn’t. Demonstrates operational experience: Has come up the ranks in social and understands the technical side of what can and cannot be done, measurement, posting, listening and community management. Ability to successfully partner & communicate with creatives. Be AE’s expert in social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices, with proficiency in social media management tools. While always scrolling mentality and showing up daily with optimism, a positive attitude, and a willingness to collaborate.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategy: Builds scroll-stopping platform specific social designs to drive brand/product love & community. Lead seasonal social media planning across brand campaigns, drops and collaborations by partnering with cross-functional teams including brand, creative, PR/influencer, media, creative etc.
- Execute: Develop and execute AE’s comprehensive social media strategy including KPIs that defines the target audience, tone of voice, content mix, posting frequency, and distribution channels for each platform. Brief in the creative team as needed and know what internal shoots are happening for key marketing calendar moments.
- Measure Success: Define overall social and analytics reporting including social listening. Determine reporting cadence to show success and opportunities for growth — ensure we are meeting KPIs and adjusting as needed. Conduct regular analysis and reporting on channel performance metrics and communicate changes to overall strategies that need to be made. Partner with the media team on developing an organic paid strategy with reporting cadence.
- Manage: Manage social media team, approve weekly calendar, analyze performance, and achieve marketing objectives and priorities. Manage existing external agency relationships — and source and onboard new resources.
- Community Support & Engagement: Guide and mentor team on brand-building community management strategies and day-to-day customer service excellence.
- Innovate: Always identify headline generating opportunities to ensure AE maintains its best-in-class presence via innovation and industry first moments.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, customer feedback, and emerging platforms to optimize social media campaigns and initiatives. Manage all cultural ad hoc requests by partnering with creative.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of experience in social media or related areas.
- Strong understanding of platform dynamics and best practices specifically in Dash Hudson.
- Avid use of social media platforms: Tiktok, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.
- Ability to track KPIs across social channels, leveraging regular performance reports to derive actionable insights and adjust strategy for maximum impact.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in our New York office on a hybrid schedule.

- Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
