(Sr.) Manager, ITBP - ERP (China)

About the Role

As a key member of the ERP team within BioNTech's China IT organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the technical administration and performance optimization of our SAP S/4 HANA platform. Your contributions will directly support the success of our ongoing SAP S/4 HANA project, which is essential to advancing operational efficiency and innovation.

In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in SAP technical administration to design, configure, and maintain system landscapes while ensuring optimal performance. Working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, you’ll be instrumental in delivering robust and reliable ERP solutions that align with BioNTech’s mission.

Your Contribution

• Install and configure SAP application servers, including ABAP and Java stacks, databases, and supporting middleware
• Design and maintain SAP system landscape management (DEV, QA, PRD) while managing transport routes for change requests
• Administer user access and authorizations using SAP’s role-based security model
• Monitor system performance by analyzing workload, memory, CPU usage, and database utilization; apply tuning measures to optimize response times
• Oversee database administration tasks such as backups, restores, reorganizations, and space management
• Provide strong technical support for the ongoing implementation of the SAP S/4 HANA project

A Good Match

• Extensive experience in SAP system administration with a focus on S/4 HANA platforms
• Strong knowledge of SAP landscape management (DEV/QA/PRD), transport management systems, and role-based security models
• Proven expertise in performance monitoring and tuning for complex ERP environments
• Hands-on experience with database administration tasks such as backup/restoration processes and space optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
