Job Description

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

About the Role

We are seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect, Sales Operations to support and enhance our Salesforce ecosystem while helping drive operational excellence across the commercial organization. This role sits at the intersection of Strategic Operations, Sales, and Finance, ensuring Salesforce and related systems effectively support pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and business processes.

The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce administration expertise with strong business acumen and a passion for solving business challenges through practical, scalable solutions. This is a highly hands-on role focused on Salesforce administration, system optimization, user support, reporting, and process improvement.

Working closely with Strategic Operations leadership, the Solution Architect will help design and implement Salesforce enhancements that improve operational efficiency, data quality, user experience, and business visibility. The role serves as both a trusted advisor and hands-on administrator, helping stakeholders maximize the value of Salesforce and related systems while ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability.

What You'll Do

Salesforce Administration & Platform Management

  • Serve as a primary administrator for Salesforce and related sales operations systems, including FinancialForce (Certinia).
  • Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, approval processes, reports, dashboards, and Flow automations.
  • Manage user access, permissions, profiles, roles, and security settings.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely support to business users.
  • Lead testing, deployment, and change-management activities for system enhancements.
  • Maintain system documentation, data standards, and administrative procedures.

Salesforce Solution Design & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Strategic Operations leadership and business stakeholders to evaluate requirements and design scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce platform capabilities, advising stakeholders on best practices and implementation options.
  • Recommend solutions that balance business needs, user experience, scalability, maintainability, and system performance.
  • Lead the hands-on implementation of approved enhancements using Salesforce configuration and automation tools.
  • Assess when to leverage declarative tools such as Flows, formulas, validation rules, and approval processes versus more advanced technical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, improve data quality, and increase user productivity.
  • Support long-term system optimization by proactively recommending enhancements and operational improvements.

Pipeline Management, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Support pipeline governance and maintain the integrity of opportunity, booking, and forecasting data.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide visibility into pipeline health, bookings, sales performance, and forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor data quality and implement improvements to ensure reliable reporting and analytics.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable business insights.
  • Support leadership reviews with accurate and timely operational reporting.

Process Optimization & Systems Integration

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into practical Salesforce solutions.
  • Support enhancements and integrations across Salesforce, FinancialForce (Certinia), and other business systems.
  • Improve end-to-end processes across opportunity management, forecasting, resource planning, approvals, and revenue operations.
  • Help ensure consistency and alignment between CRM data, financial systems, and operational reporting.
  • Partner with IT, Data, and Operations teams to support system enhancements and ongoing optimization.

User Enablement & Adoption

  • Provide onboarding and training for Salesforce users across the organization.
  • Develop training materials, process documentation, and user guides.
  • Promote best practices for opportunity management, forecasting, reporting, and data quality.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for users seeking to improve effectiveness and efficiency within Salesforce.
  • Support adoption of new functionality and process changes through training and change-management activities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Strategic Operations, Business Unit, and Technology teams.
  • Contribute to operational initiatives that improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making across the organization.
  • Support business reviews, forecasting processes, and commercial planning activities.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical resources to ensure solutions meet operational needs.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–8+ years of experience in Salesforce Administration, Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related field.
  • Deep hands-on Salesforce administration expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification.
  • Experience supporting professional services, consulting, or life sciences organizations.
  • Experience with FinancialForce / Certinia or similar CRM-finance ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP integrations.
  • Experience supporting pipeline management, forecasting, bookings, and commercial reporting processes.
  • Understanding of Salesforce platform architecture and best practices.
  • Experience leading system enhancements from requirements gathering through implementation and user adoption.
