The Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Purchasing Leader to oversee and optimize all procurement activities across the organization. In this role, you will ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and supplier performance.

What You’ll Work On

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to forecast demand for goods, materials, and services

• Develop procurement plans, cost estimates, and timelines to support business needs

• Evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers for key contracts and purchases

• Establish purchasing policies, standards, and evaluation tools for supplier selection

• Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for bulk buying and cost savings

• Monitor market price trends and new product offerings to optimize spend

• Manage and strengthen relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors

• Ensure consistent delivery of quality, service, and reliability from suppliers

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing purchasing team

• Oversee team performance, resource allocation, and achievement of targets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management

• Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing and market trends

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MBA or related field)

• Experience in strategic sourcing or category management

• Knowledge of procurement systems and tools (ERP, sourcing platforms)

• Certification such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalent

• Experience driving cost reduction initiatives and process improvements
