Job Description

NORESCO is seeking a Senior Manager of O&M Development. The primary function of this position is to fully develop new operations and maintenance (O&M) service contracts. The position entails qualifying and pricing new service opportunities that are channeled through the NORESCO sales organization. The individual will be required to review/define the project work-scope, labor and material requirements, subcontractor tasks, and performing an asset lifecycle analysis. The Senior Manager will accurately price all aspects of the new O&M project and adhere to timelines and schedules as prescribed by the customer and sales team. New O&M service work will come from the Co-Generation, Solar PV, Wastewater, Biosolids, Energy Storage, and Renewable Energy markets. The candidate must have experience and knowledge in the operations and maintenance field and the ability to successfully analyze, plan, and price new comprehensive O&M service contracts.

About the role

The Senior Manager of O&M Development will report directly to NORESCO’s Vice President of O&M/Central Plants and will be expected to oversee and drive all aspects of new O&M development. The person will work cross functionally within NORESCO and build partnerships with service providers. The individual must have proven O&M knowledge, analytical skills, and a strong aptitude for developing new business.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates new O&M service opportunities and determines fit within the NORESCO service organization.
• Ensures new service contracts align with NORESCO’s O&M functional capabilities.
• Completes a comprehensive, detailed, and accurate work-scope and financial model for new project proposals; submits to key stakeholders for approval.
• Develops an annual O&M development budget; tracks costs, and variations to forecast.
• Responsible for sourcing subcontractor proposals for new O&M work
• Conducts walk-throughs of customer facilities to determine O&M service needs as required.
• Follows the NORESCO standardized processes for new development and finalizing/closing new customer agreements.
• Develops costing tool to reduce the time to price new service work.
• Assists with improving standardized processes to improve development workflow and turnaround time.
• Works as part of a multi-discipline team of sales, O&M, development, engineering, HR, finance, and construction professionals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of sales experience in the Operations and Maintenance industry
• 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: electrical switchgear, DDC controls, HVAC, gas engines, gas turbines, chiller/boiler plants, solar PV systems, and water treatment.

• Effective negotiation skills.
• Must possess advanced knowledge of MS Office products.
