As the Sr. Manager of Clinic Research Services, you will be responsible for execution of strategy for Clinical Research teams including clinic research care, clinic research nurse, and clinical support service teams. This includes creation of goals and supporting overall departmental status with defined metrics. Responsible for overall daily operations as well as hiring and developing managers and colleagues of these respective teams. Responsibilities include:
Provide direct supervision and development of the Manager Clinical Research Nurses, Manager Research Care Support, and Manager Clinical Support Services
Provide oversight, leadership, and support of organizational processes during study activation and maintenance of trials to ensure the delivery of quality research compliance.
Monitor and assist with queries from internal colleagues, sponsors, and CROs.
Oversee inventory and evaluate acquisition of study supplies required.
Develop, maintain, and report out performance metrics and expectations to leadership on a regular basis for the research nurse, research care, and clinical support services teams.
Provide clinical research nurses, research care, and clinical, support for site audits and CAPAs.
Build and manage strategic internal and external relationships.
Meet with the Director weekly to communicate key issues, progress, and risks related to laboratory, research care, and clinical support services.
Meet with SCRI Oncology Partners, TCMC, and other external leaders regarding clinical support for research patients and develop/optimize processes as needed.
Meet with the SCRI site leadership team as needed on strategies for process improvement and strategic initiatives, execute, and monitor progress for clinical research nurses, research care, and clinical support services teams.
Assist in the creation, development, maintenance, and execution of SOPs, WIs, job aids.
Complete protocol training per standard operating procedure.
Attend staff and other assigned meetings.
Maintain patient confidentiality according to ethical and legal requirements.
Adhere to appropriate Standard Operating Procedures.
You should have for this position:
An Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree preferred
At least one year of experience working in Clinical Research.
Registered Nurse preferred
At least one year of experience working in oncology.
Working knowledge of clinical trials protocol
General knowledge of Regulatory Research and Quality Assurance guidelines
Skills in communication with physicians and internal/external stakeholders
Public presentation skills
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
Ability to critically think and problem solve situations as they arise.
Adaptable to the changing needs of the team and work environment
Ability to self-direct, including prioritization of multiple simultaneous tasks
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred.
