About the role

The Manager / Senior Manager – IPR & Take back Operations will lead end-to-end reverse logistics operations across PAN India, ensuring efficient planning, recycler network management, backend operations, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and seamless project execution while delivering operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Strategy & Leadership
  • Lead reverse logistics operations across multiple projects and regions.
  • Drive operational excellence through SOPs and process improvements.
  • Define and monitor operational KPIs.
  • Lead and develop the operations team.
Reverse Logistics Planning
  • Plan end-to-end material collection, transportation, and recycling.
  • Optimize recycler allocation and logistics planning.
  • Ensure timely execution against client SLAs.
  • Support capacity planning and new project rollouts.
Recycler Network Management
  • Develop and expand a PAN India recycler network.
  • Onboard, evaluate, and manage authorized recyclers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and service agreements.
  • Ensure recycler performance and compliance.
Logistics & Vendor Management
  • Manage logistics partners, transporters, and warehouses.
  • Optimize transportation routes and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate material movement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor vendor performance and service quality.
Cost Optimization
  • Optimize logistics, recycling, and operational costs.
  • Improve project profitability through commercial negotiations.
  • Drive cost-saving and productivity initiatives.
  • Monitor operational budgets and cost performance.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with EPR, CPCB/SPCB, and internal policies.
  • Maintain complete operational documentation and traceability.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Monitor adherence to operational SOPs.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Compliance, Finance, and Client Success teams.
  • Build strong relationships with recyclers, logistics partners, and clients.
  • Resolve operational escalations.
  • Present operational performance to leadership.
MIS & Operational Excellence
  • Prepare operational MIS and KPI dashboards.
  • Track turnaround time, logistics costs, SLA adherence, and recycler performance.
  • Analyze data to improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive automation and process improvements.

What we need from you

  • Preferably 10+ years in reverse logistics, take-back operations, waste management, recycling, EPR operations, or related supply-chain operations.
  • Strong preference for candidates who have managed multi-region/PAN India operations
  • Hands-on reverse logistics / take-back operations experience
  • Experience managing recycler/vendor networks
  • Experience with material collection and transportation
  • Understanding of EPR and authorized recycler compliance.
  • Experience managing operational KPIs, SLAs and MIS
  • Commercial negotiation and cost optimization exposure
  • Ability to manage operations across multiple regions/projects.
