IT Partner – Quality Domain (China)

About the Role

As an IT Partner for the Quality domain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless IT operations across all BioNTech sites in China. Your expertise will drive the alignment of IT systems with the needs of the Quality department, directly contributing to our mission of revolutionizing medicine. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure that our IT solutions support and enhance critical quality processes, creating a robust foundation for innovation and compliance.

You’ll be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment where your technical and strategic insights will shape IT initiatives in the quality domain. From managing projects to ensuring regulatory compliance, your role will be integral to maintaining high standards and achieving operational excellence.

Your Contribution

• Act as the strategic IT partner for the Quality business unit, providing technical consulting and aligning systems with business objectives
• Lead end-to-end IT operations across all BioNTech sites in China, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects within the quality domain, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and go-live phases
• Coordinate internal teams (IT, QA, QC, QV) and external vendor resources to drive project success while managing risks and changes
• Oversee Computerized System Validation (CSV) for GMP systems such as LIMS, Empower chromatography system, and QMS by defining validation strategies
• Deeply understand and support key quality processes like quality management, documentation management, training management, and laboratory information systems

A Good Match

• Strong experience in IT operations management within a regulated environment (preferably pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries)
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., LIMS, Empower chromatography system) and their application in GMP settings
• Proven track record of leading complex IT projects from inception to completion
• Expertise in Computerized System Validation (CSV) processes for GMP-compliant environments
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset to work effectively across diverse teams
• Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strategic approach to align technology with business needs
