As Senior Manager Insights & Validation, you will help embed consumer and shopper insights across the business, ensuring they influence decisions throughout the path to purchase. Working closely with Marketing, Commercial and R&D teams, you will act as the objective voice of the consumer, translating data and learning into actions that drive growth. This role offers the opportunity to shape business priorities, strengthen innovation programmes, and deliver a deeper understanding of markets, consumers and shoppers across Indonesia and Asia.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Insight Work

• Utilizing the path to purchase as a framework for all insight work, ensuring that all insight is grounded and explained in this context.
• Scoping and running projects across multiple methodologies to deliver actionable insight at the relevant point in the Path to Purchase.
• Proactive use of insight to influence business priorities and growth.
• Proactively scoping how to fill gaps in understanding or improve existing understanding along the Path to Purchase.
• Using appropriate solutions to improve time to insight delivery by thinking tech first and unlocking deeper understanding.
• Being the objective voice of the Consumer and Shopper at all times.
• Delivering a deeper understanding of Markets, Consumers and Shoppers in Indonesia and Asia.

Partner Management

• Delivering projects through external agencies while maximizing value for money by challenging orthodoxies and existing approaches.
• Creating long-term plans with vendors to drive efficiency and high ROI.
• Creating guardrails for self-serve models alongside partners to ensure consistent methodologies.

Influencing Business Approach

• Shaping marketing and R&D programmes through insight-led activities.
• Leading methodology approaches, consistency and the evolution of ways of working.

Leadership

• Leading effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Acting as the trusted adviser for the Asia team on what insight means and how it can shape business approach.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Experience working within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
• A track record of partnering with Marketing, R&D and Category Management teams to deliver successful product and communication innovation.
• Experience supporting both market-leading and challenger brands.
• Strong change management capability and the ability to thrive in periods of transition.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to align goals across functions.
• Strong commercial curiosity and an objective mindset, using data to challenge assumptions and validate business thinking.
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Confidence presenting insights in both one-to-one and group settings.
• Experience using mixed research methodologies to generate meaningful insights.
• Knowledge of emerging technology platforms and their practical application within a business environment.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving data and insight gaps.
