What You Will Do
Senior Manager, IBP Demand Planning- Plan to Sustain (Aftermarket) plays a crucial role in leading and executing enterprise resource planning (ERP) initiatives, including the global deployment of SAP IBP across the aftermarket to optimize business processes and drive operational excellence. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, expertise in ERP and advanced planning systems (APS) and implementation methodologies. In addition the position requires a deep understanding of demand planning/forecasting techniques including various statistical forecasting models including consensus demand planning, event/repair BOM planning, and forecast analysis/improvement.
The Senior Manager, IBP Demand Planning Lead on the Plan to Sustain team will play a pivotal role in leading the deployment of IBP in conjunction with SAP S4 that supports RTX's business transformation objectives. Key responsibilities include owning the demand planning business process hierarchy (BPH), establishing standard demand planning best practices that support all RTX aftermarket businesses, defining project scope, developing detailed project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. The Senior Manager will coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, finance, and supply chain, to align project activities with strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will apply expertise in APS implementation methodologies to identify process inefficiencies, recommend best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong skills in risk assessment, issue resolution, and stakeholder management to ensure project success. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing, innovation, and accountability. Regular project updates will be delivered to executive leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Support development and management of project plans, timelines, and budgets related to Aftermarket process development and SAP ERP integration, with a focus on demand planning processes.
Oversee the integration of Aftermarket demand planning processes into the new SAP ERP and IBP systems, ensuring that all required capabilities are effectively supported.
Effectively communicate and influence VPs and other senior leaders on the status, benefits, and implications of the SAP ERP and APS transformation project.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with Aftermarket demand planning process.
Ensure Aftermarket process maps incorporate industry best practices and are tailored to meet the specific needs of all RTX business units.
Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems by Aftermarket teams.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within IBP and SAP S4, leveraging technology to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with IBP and SAP S4 implementations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data security standards.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of IBP and SAP S4 initiatives, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a university degree and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
2+ years’ experience in demand planning, demand reviews, forecasting, demand analytics (i.e. forecast accuracy, forecast value add, demand waterfall etc. )
Experience in the deployment of a new planning system such as Kinaxis, IBP, Servigistics etc.
Qualifications We Prefer
MBA degree focus in supply Chain, materials management, logistics, or business administration.
1+ years experience with SAP IBP
Experience in aftermarket spares and/or MRO planning
Certifications through APICS such as CPIM or CSCP

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
