Job Description

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we live by the credo "Work hard. Have fun. Make history," and we're looking for a dynamic leader who embodies this spirit to join our Enterprise Customer Solutions Manager (CSM) organization. If you're passionate about developing talent, driving innovation, and making work both impactful and enjoyable, this role is for you!

You'll lead a high-performing team of CSMs while scaling impact through Individual Contributors who serve as Single Threaded Leaders across divisions. We're looking for someone who loves helping others achieve great things - whether that's coaching your team to reach their full potential or enabling customers to transform their businesses through cloud technology. You'll be dynamic and creative, ready to take on any challenge, and excited about making history with AWS.

As organizations navigate digital transformation, you'll help both our team and customers embrace change and drive innovation. We love people who use data to make decisions, think creatively about scaling solutions, and can express themselves thoughtfully. You'll build capabilities and scaling mechanisms that help your team operate more efficiently while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Most importantly, you'll create an environment where people love what they do, feel empowered to innovate, and are excited about contributing to our shared goal of customer success.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing CSM team, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and career development
  • Drive team engagement and capabilities development across relevant business and technology domains
  • Create and implement scaling mechanisms to optimize team efficiency and impact without additional headcount
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation while maintaining work-life harmony

Strategic Impact:

  • Define and execute Enterprise segment strategy aligned with Canada's priorities: Innovation, Migration/Modernization at scale, and new growth
  • Build mechanisms to drive operational efficiency and help CSMs focus the broader AWS #OneTeam on highest-impact customer outcomes
  • Drive organizational change management expertise within the team to help customers navigate technology-driven transformation and accelerate customer time-to-value
  • Scale impact through Individual Contributors serving as Single Threaded Leaders across divisions

Customer Success:

  • Guide enterprise customers through complex cloud transformations, focusing on business value realization
  • Drive adoption of strategic initiatives including modernization, innovation, and emerging technology programs
  • Ensure effective execution of the CSM flywheel: program management excellence, value realization, and journey acceleration
  • Build and maintain executive relationships across customer organizations

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive technology implementation, or 3+ years of senior leadership experience
  • Experience recruiting and developing high performing teams that deliver outsized results
  • Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
  • Experience delivering against a large organization's long-term strategy and goals
  • Deep expertise in organizational change management and transformation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing AWS/cloud services
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies

About Amazon

Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one.

Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.

Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.

You'll also hear us say that at Amazon, it's always "Day 1." What do we mean? That our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon's very first day - to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and focus on delighting our customers.
