Job Description

The Impact You Will Make
The Sr. Manager Business Operations and Communications serves as an integrator and force multiplier for the site leadership team acting as a “bridge” to functional teams. This role ensures operational, strategic, and organizational priorities are clearly defined, aligned, and executed across the organization designed to improve efficiency, drive growth, or manage organizational change.
The Sr. Manager Business Operations and Communications drives site-level initiatives, supports decision-making with data and insight, leads site level communications, and leads complex cross-functional efforts in a highly regulated GMP environment. The role requires strong business acumen, operational credibility, discretion, the ability to influence without direct authority and the willingness to take on tactical execution of tasks to support site teams. This role will be responsible for driving employee engagement initiatives across the four facilities.
Responsibilities
• Translate enterprise and site strategy into clear operating priorities, execution plans, and measurable outcomes.
• Drive preparation, facilitation, and follow up of key leadership meetings, operating reviews, and strategy sessions.
• Monitor progress against site objectives (safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people) and proactively surface risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities.
• Lead and coordinate cross functional initiatives across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, MSAT, Supply Chain, EHS, and Finance.
• Ensure alignment and integration of site initiatives with corporate strategies.
• Partner with functional leaders to drive continuous improvement, simplification, and operational excellence.
• Establish and maintain site governance rhythms, escalation processes, and decision frameworks.
• Develop executive level materials including dashboards, briefings, metrics, and communications.
• Ensure clear, consistent, and timely communication of priorities, decisions, and changes across the organization.
• Track and enable follow through on leadership commitments and action items.
• Support the Leadership team in shaping site culture aligned with patient safety, quality, accountability, and inclusion.
• Lead change management efforts related to strategic transformations, organizational changes, and capability building.
• Identify opportunities to improve organizational speed, clarity, and engagement.
• Serve as a role model for discipline, ethical leadership, and collaboration.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives and culture transformation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field required.
• MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, GMP regulations, and quality systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross functional initiatives without direct authority.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive level presentations.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity, rapid change, and complex stakeholder environments.
