Job Description

This is the opportunity that makes a strategic leader responsible for driving resource optimisation, productivity and in the Clinical Development Center (CDC) as Business Operations Senior Manager, Türkiye . This position is based in Istanbul, Türkiye and reports to Assoc. Director, Clinical Development Center.


Your new position


As Business Operations Senior Manager you will lead and optimise workforce planning, capacity management and clinical performance for the CDC. You will partner closely with Assoc.Director, CDC and stakeholders in GTP to translate Global) strategy into local operational plans, drive data-driven decisions, and ensure efficient, compliant business operations across clinical activities.


Key responsibilities

  • Lead workforce planning and capacity management (FTE budgeting and forecasting) to ensure a flexible, scalable resource model aligned with global strategy.
  • Define and operationalise CDC strategy in close collaboration with the Director, ensuring alignment with Global short- and long-term priorities.
  • Drive clinical performance management using prioritised metrics, local industry insights, and data-driven decision making.
  • Advise leadership on CDC recommendations to improve productivity, workforce planning and resource allocation.
  • Plan, manage and track departmental (non-trial) budgets in partnership with the Director to ensure financial accountability and optimal resource use.
  • Act as CDC subject-matter expert for Business Operations, leading projects on workforce, productivity and performance management and representing CDC across communities.
  • Ensure business operations quality and compliance, including oversight of site payments, LEC coordination, and adherence to regulations, ICH-GCP and internal policies.


Your new department


Clinical Development Centre Turkey is responsible for all clinical operations activities within Turkey and project management of clinical studies conducted in Lebanon, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman. Morocco and Türkiye. CDC Türkiye team consists of 74 employees .


Your skills & qualifications


You are expected to hold a Bachelor’s in business, finance, health sciences, or related field; Master’s or advanced degrees (MBA, PhD) preferred with a significant industry experience with around 8 years in business planning, financial analysis, drug discovery, or clinical development

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and market dynamics
  • Ability to communicate with clarity and impact with internal and external stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Extensive industry experience in business planning, financial analysis, drug discovery, or clinical development within pharma or biopharma
  • Ability to define and articulate a clear strategic vision aligned with organisational goals
  • Ability to lead teams and empower, motivate and inspire individuals to deliver ambitious results
  • Demonstrated ability to work in complex, matrixed environments and adapt to evolving business needs
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, able to extract actionable insights from large datasets
  • Proven ability to develop frameworks for resource allocation and operational planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to assess complex scenarios and align strategies with organisational goals
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset, committed to identifying inefficiencies and implementing best practices
  • Awareness of organisational dynamics and adaptability
