Department: Finance & Operations

Location: Taipei, Taiwan

The Position
1. Manage Anchor Budget (AB) and Rolling Estimates (RE) processes:

- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of AB and RE cycles to ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
2. Provide financial analysis and management reporting:

- Deliver detailed financial insights and reports to support decision-making at local and global levels.
- Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to optimise financial performance.
3. Ensure transparency in organisational performance against targets:

- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to ensure alignment with short- and long-term goals.
- Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders to maintain clarity and accountability.
4. Partner with local and global management to drive value creation:

- Collaborate with management teams to identify and implement initiatives that enhance financial outcomes.
- Leverage data and business acumen to provide actionable recommendations.
5. Perform financial controlling to ensure budget and compliance adherence:

- Ensuring the right allocation of resources to growth opportunities and securing a positive return on investment (RoI).
- Conduct thorough reviews of budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Support project controlling activities to maintain financial integrity and accountability.

- Responsible for ensuring adherence to compliance requirements, internal controls, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
6. Leadership and People Management:

- Provide coaching and guidance to team members to enhance performance and capability.
- Foster professional development through mentoring and continuous learning opportunities.
- Implement succession planning to build a strong and sustainable talent pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and above degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g. CPA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • 6-8 years of experience in Business Finance & Analytics or related field. Experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG or similar industry is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of local dynamics in Taiwan market.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex financial processes such as Anchor Budget and Rolling Estimates.
  • Strong understanding strategic financial management.
  • Experience in mentoring and collaborating with senior colleagues.
  • Proficient in both written & speaking English and Chinese.
