Sr. Manager – Accounts Receivable (Finance / O2C)

We are looking for a Sr. Manager – Accounts Receivable to lead and protect the company’s AR portfolio through sound credit management, effective collections strategies, and strong leadership of Finance Services Center teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring healthy cash flow, minimizing financial risk, and supporting profitable sales growth through disciplined financial practices and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Accounts Receivable strategy, ensuring effective credit decisions and portfolio risk management
  • Drive improvements in cash flow, working capital, and overall AR performance
  • Oversee collection activities, including internal teams, third-party agencies, and key customer accounts
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, Sales, and Finance Leadership
  • Define and implement best practices across AR operations to support sales growth and financial targets
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and proactively mitigate financial exposure
  • Ensure alignment with KPIs, service levels, and customer service standards
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and system enhancements
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Support audit processes and ensure accuracy of AR balances
  • Develop scalable solutions to improve customer experience, including digital and self-service tools
  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing AR team, fostering engagement and professional growth
  • Lead the integration of Suvinil into Sherwin-Williams processes, ensuring alignment of Accounts Receivable practices, credit policies, collections strategies, and systems (e.g., ERP/Oracle), driving standardization, process harmonization, and operational efficiency across both organizations

Requirements

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Information Systems (e.g., Sistemas de Informação)
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields

Experience & Knowledge

  • 4+ years of leadership experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Sales
  • Strong background in Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash processes
  • Experience in operational analysis and business communication
  • Proven ability to lead change management initiatives
  • Experience working in shared services or complex organizational structures (preferred)
  • Experience leading AR technology implementations or transformation initiatives (preferred)

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to drive performance through data and insights
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and support strategic decision-making across functions
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting and financial modeling
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements using KPIs
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse and global teams
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities
  • Ability to design and maintain effective controls, ensuring compliance and data accuracy
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on business growth and operational excellence
  • Experience supporting M&A activities, including post-merger integration, process harmonization, and alignment of financial operations, policies, and systems
