Blue Rhino is seeking a Full-Time Sr Maintenance Technician to join our hardworking and safety-focused team. The Sr Maintenance Technician is responsible for a wide range of daily duties to include inspection, maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems, documenting all relevant information of maintenance and repairs, and striving for safety, productivity, and financial responsibility. This position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of electrical/automation experience.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00am-6:30pm

Pay: $28.00 hourly

Responsibilities

  • Ensures daily plant and equipment inspections are conducted and documented appropriately.
  • Assists in developing preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, and ensures schedules are adhered to and documented.
  • Monitors for unusual sounds from equipment to detect malfunction.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory and orders parts as needed.
  • Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Provides technical information and operational guidance to production employees.
  • Follows safety rules and procedures including OSHA standards and the Company Process Safety Management program.
  • Directs, performs, and records periodic testing.
  • Maintains a clear sense of priority and focus in support of team performance.
  • Identifies improvements in the process’s equipment.
  • Provides leadership for problem resolution and takes the lead on correcting equipment deficiencies.
  • Maintains professional working relationships with production team.
  • Builds professional relationships with equipment vendors.
  • Considers long term upgrades and repairs constantly.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training or post-secondary technical degree preferred.
  • 3 + years of electrical/automation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid Understand of PLC’s, preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on team building and developing a positive rapport with company employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated track record of being a reliable and dependable worker.
  • Flexible (hours/shifts).
  • Mandatory overtime when necessary.
