We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Science, Reporting & Analytics team. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing scalable machine learning solutions while contributing to the development of modern data platforms and data engineering capabilities.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in machine learning with strong data engineering skills, enabling them to build end-to-end solutions from data ingestion and transformation through model deployment, monitoring, and optimization. This individual will partner closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Analytics teams, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions that create measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Learning Solution Development
• Design, develop, train, validate, and optimize machine learning models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, or similar frameworks.
• Build predictive, classification, recommendation, NLP, and generative AI solutions to solve business problems.
• Develop reusable ML frameworks, feature stores, and model-serving architectures.
Data Engineering & Data Platform Development
• Design and develop scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing of structured and unstructured data.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
• Develop data models and curated datasets to support machine learning, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and observability across the data ecosystem.
• Partner with data platform teams to improve performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise data assets.
MLOps & Production Deployment
• Build and maintain automated ML pipelines for training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
• Implement CI/CD practices for machine learning and data engineering workflows.
• Deploy and manage models in cloud environments using containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Establish monitoring frameworks to track model performance, data drift, and operational health.
Architecture & Technical Leadership
• Contribute to architecture decisions for machine learning platforms and data ecosystems.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across ML and data engineering initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and governance frameworks.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI, automation, and advanced analytics.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
Governance, Security & Compliance
• Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise security, privacy, governance, and Responsible AI standards.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and support audit and compliance requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
• 6–10+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, or Applied AI.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks including Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Strong experience designing and developing large-scale data pipelines and distributed data processing solutions.
• Experience with SQL and modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and data warehouse architecture.
• Experience implementing MLOps practices and production ML systems.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong understanding of statistics, experimentation, model evaluation, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI Agents.
• Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, or similar data engineering technologies.
• Experience with feature stores, vector databases, and model serving platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and data quality frameworks.
• Prior experience in education technology, SaaS, healthcare, or large-scale analytics environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
