Job Description

We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what's possible.

As a Sr Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase on Workforce Platform & Solutions within the Global Banking Wholesale Client Services Technology team, you will support all Global Banking businesses and operations powered by a full suite of technology platforms that deliver document management, integration, and workflow solutions, and cutting-edge AI/GenAI capabilities. Every day, you’ll bring critical day-to-day leadership and thinking to the table, working with teams of architects, aligning cross-functional projects, ensuring that they’re within reason, fiscally and technically. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and business leaders alike, creating strategically sound Target State Architectures. You'll have a major say in critical thinking, mentoring, setting priorities and fostering a client-centric environment where everyone learns and grows.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define current, proximal and target state architecture for the strategic applications at Chase, optimizing the business value from both Line of Business and Global Technologies products, delivering best-in-class solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s needs.
  • Work with Product Owners, Technology leaders, Application Owners and Business Partners to advocate and incorporate the essential guidance of the CB Architecture "Big Rules" while building solutions for our products.
  • Ensure the application of expected practices, platforms, frameworks, and standards as their associated teams build solutions
  • Lead initiatives to integrate GenAI technologies into existing systems to enhance decision-making, automation, and customer experience.
  • Apply Domain driven Design to identify loosely coupled autonomous applications within the application portfolio
  • Achieving smart reuse through shared services by identifying and promoting reusable 'business invariant or product invariant' services rather than build overlapping capabilities
  • Identify change within your specific area of responsibility and ensure the appropriate governance is applied such that system changes follow approved processes and are documented and approved accordingly
  • Create architecture designs that provide technical blueprints for the development teams based on the business concepts, goals & objectives
  • Build new innovative solutions using modern technology and cloud native design principles that solve business problems and drives business growth
  • Develop multi-year architecture roadmap aligned to our business and technology strategy, drivers and priorities
  • Build solid partnership with the Application Development teams, Product Owners, Architects and other key stakeholders

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE stack
  • Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience as a Technical Architect
  • Hands on experience with AWS
  • Additionally, knowledge of Azure or GCP also a must
  • Hands on experience with GenAI and Agentic AI
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and build high-volume, microservices, domain-driven, event driven and cloud-native systems
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Strategic thinking and passion for business strategy and business processes
  • Experience in risk and risk control compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
