Why we need this role

Responsible for overall planning and resource coordination for service transitions, to ensure changes are made with minimum disruption to IT services.

What you will do

Responsible for accepting products, determining whether they are fit for purpose and assessing readiness against agreed service acceptance criteria. IT Service Transition Managers are responsible for planning and coordinating resources to ensure that services are effectively transitioned into service operation.

What we're looking for

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Accountable for establishing, documenting, and publicising the Service Design and Transition processes and strategy, which will include the Service Design Package and Service Level package

• Defining and implementing service acceptance criteria for both new and changing applications

• Building and maintaining internal and external relationships at senior stakeholder level in order to articulate and guide projects and programmes in accordance with the delivery lifecycle providing for a demand and resource plan to be maintained and managed

• Leading the production of all Service Introduction artefacts including creating and negotiating Service Level Agreements for handing over to the operational support teams

• Acting as a key member of the Design Authority and ensuring that proposed solutions fit within the IT Operating model and IT Strategy
