Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Java Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support enterprise-grade applications spanning backend microservices, event-driven pipelines, and modern frontend interfaces. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer comfortable owning features end-to-end — from API design through UI delivery — with strong production support experience. Experience in healthcare provider onboarding or payment/claims processing systems is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Security
Build and consume RESTful APIs; implement authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT) using Spring Security
Develop event-driven and streaming solutions using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, topic design, error handling)
Build responsive, component-based UIs using ReactJS and/or Angular
Design and manage data models across MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle / PostgreSQL (relational)
Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, or similar services)
Provide production support — triage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes under SLA-driven timelines
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product) in an Agile/Scrum environment
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and deployment automation
Mentor junior/mid-level developers and contribute to technical design decisions
Document technical designs, runbooks, and support procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· 10+ years of professional experience in full stack Java development, with strong, hands-on software development experience across the full lifecycle (design, coding, testing, deployment)
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
Practical experience with Apache Kafka in production environments
Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework: ReactJS and/or Angular
Experience working with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployment practices
Demonstrated experience in production support — incident management, debugging live systems, performance tuning
Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes a plus)
Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
Strong understanding of REST API design, security best practices, and application performance optimization
Proven track record of delivering production-quality code in a professional team setting
Nice to Have
· Healthcare industry experience, particularly in provider onboarding and payment/claims systems — candidates with this background are strongly preferred
Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch)
Exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, payments, financial services)
Experience with Airflow, Snowflake, or other data engineering tools
Agile/Scrum certification
Soft Skills
· Strong problem-solving skills, especially under production incident pressure
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ownership mindset — comfortable being on-call/rotational support
Leadership presence — able to guide technical direction and mentor team members
