The position

As a Senior IT Test Specialist within our Testing Centre of Excellence, you'll be at the forefront of automation testing for our SAP/S4HANA systems. Your expertise will ensure our digital infrastructure supports seamless operations across our global supply chain and business processes

Day-to-day your tasks will include

  • Leading and managing Tosca testing projects supporting SAP areas within Novo Nordisk.
  • Driving manual to automation test case conversions and building regression suites.
  • Creating test strategies, test approaches, and other relevant documentation.
  • Developing and executing Tosca automation scripts.
  • Managing end-to-end testing activities, including planning, scripting, execution, and defect management.
  • Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Collaborating with Validation Responsible to ensure compliant delivery of test artefacts.
  • Leading and contributing to automation proof of concepts (POCs) for various stakeholders.
  • Providing effort estimations, defining resource allocation, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Coaching and mentoring new joiners and existing team members.
  • Supporting the offshoring of testing services and achieving productivity, cost, quality, and timeliness KPIs.

Skills & Qualifications

We're looking for a Senior IT Test Specialist who thrives on technical excellence and enjoys working in a global, collaborative environment. You'll bring with you:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with 8+ years of hands-on experience in TOSCA automation for both SAP and web applications (essential requirement)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in functional and automation testing of SAP/S4HANA core logistics modules such as PM, WM, SD, MM, QM, PPPI, and Finance
  • Minimum 2+ years of SAP testing experience specifically using the Tosca automation tool
  • Strong ability to manage end-to-end testing activities, create comprehensive test documentation, and track defects while reporting project status to stakeholders
  • Experience working with test management tools like HP ALM or Azure DevOps, and proficiency with both waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Master's or Graduate degree in a relevant field (Software Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) with proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations across diverse groups with varied cultural backgrounds
  • Strong ownership, resourcefulness, and flexibility to manage multiple concurrent tasks while coaching and mentoring team members

About the department

The Testing Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a unit within SI&C GBS that provides end-to-end IT testing solutions for various business domains across Novo Nordisk. Located within Enterprise Platforms in E IT, the CoE is dedicated to establishing and maintaining best practices, processes, and tools for software testing. Our primary focus is on enhancing efficiency, quality, and consistency in testing activities across the organisation. The team is based in India and works in a collaborative and innovative environment, ensuring alignment with Novo Nordisk’s Quality Management System and approved tools.
