We are TekPro Support Services, LLC (TSS) , an 8(a) Certified Alaska Native Company (ANC), and a subsidiary of the Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC). We support several military installations and federal agencies across the nation through consulting and contracting our professional and technical solutions.
We are searching for a Sr. IT Professional to support our ongoing mission for the Department of Energy in New Orleans, LA. This is an onsite role, operates during the core hours of our client and requires a Top Secret clearance.
Position Summary
The Senior IT Professional provides comprehensive information technology, systems administration, cloud, cybersecurity, business process, and data management support to the SPRPMO. The position supports assessment and monitoring of enterprise IT systems; administers DOE cloud and collaboration environments; develops SharePoint sites, workflows, dashboards, and data visualizations; assists with cybersecurity risk assessments and control validation; and provides technical and administrative support to DOE users and IT leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze SPR data systems and enterprise computing requirements to support current and future SPR mission needs.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, applications, and technical solutions based on DOE and SPR requirements.
- Support the administration, maintenance, development, and enhancement of DOE SharePoint sites, applications, document repositories, and business process workflows.
- Develop and maintain automated business processes and workflows using SharePoint and related Microsoft technologies.
- Support change management, user adoption, and training associated with new or modified IT systems, applications, and business processes.
- Provide administrative-level support for the DOE federal cloud environment, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.
- Support integration and administration of Poly and Microsoft Teams collaboration technologies.
- Provide technical consulting and short-term IT support for special projects and emerging DOE requirements.
- Review IT architecture and design risk analyses and assist in developing responses and recommendations for cybersecurity controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Assist with the verification and validation of cybersecurity controls and document results in accordance with applicable DOE security requirements.
- Participate in Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) teams to evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop technology-enabled process improvements.
- Develop and maintain draft content for the SPR Internet website using standards-based web development tools, including Adobe Dreamweaver, and coordinate approved updates with DOE IT for publication.
- Develop and maintain data visualization and management dashboards using SharePoint, Power BI, K2 SmartForms, and related technologies.
- Provide IT support for Program Reviews, ensuring reliable connectivity, presentation capabilities, collaboration tools, and visibility of required content.
- Coordinate with M&O contractor IT personnel to collect task status updates and prepare weekly IT status reports for DOE IT leadership.
- Participate in DOE IT round-robin site visits and provide technical, administrative, coordination, and meeting support.
- Organize and support Microsoft Teams meetings, including scheduling, participant coordination, technical troubleshooting, attendance, note taking, and distribution of meeting minutes.
- Provide local software and application technical support to DOE users, including troubleshooting, configuration, installation, and user assistance.
- Develop, distribute, and manage custom surveys and compile and report survey responses for DOE stakeholders.
- Provide video editing, production, formatting, and video-sharing support for DOE users and program activities.
- Maintain and update the DOE Action Tracking (DAT) System, documenting Project Manager actions assigned to SPRPMO staff and contractors resulting from Program Reviews, Project Reviews, Tripartite meetings, and other major program meetings.
- Review SPRPMO Records Information and Disposition Schedule (RIDS) submissions and assist with monitoring and reporting records management compliance.
- Prepare recurring IT reports and management products, including:
o Purchase Request Workflow Monthly Reports
o Consent Request Workflow Quarterly Reports
o Weekly DOE IT Meeting Minutes
o Monthly Records Management Meeting Minutes
o Monthly Azure Spend Validation Reports
o Monthly Login.gov Usage Tracking Reports
- Analyze IT operational data and develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to support management decision-making.
- Identify system, process, security, and operational issues and coordinate with DOE IT and other stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, procedures, user guides, workflows, and system records.
- Provide ad hoc technical analysis, troubleshooting, consulting, and project support as directed by SPRPMO leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible IT experience, with demonstrated experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
- Experience administering or supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience developing and maintaining SharePoint sites, workflows, forms, and business process solutions.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of IT cybersecurity principles, risk management, security controls, and control verification/validation.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, collaboration tools, and enterprise applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with government, contractor, and technical personnel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, recurring reporting requirements, and ad hoc technical assignments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Must be able to get a “Q” clearance (equivalent to “Top Secret” DoD)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting the DOE or other federal government organizations.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure Government or federal cloud environments.
- Experience with SharePoint workflow development, Power Automate, Power BI, K2 SmartForms, or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
- Experience with federal cybersecurity frameworks, NIST controls, Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, security assessments, and risk management.
- Experience supporting federal IT change management and business process re-engineering.
- Experience with website development and content management, including Adobe Dreamweaver or comparable web development tools.
- Experience supporting large-scale meetings, program reviews, executive briefings, and IT governance activities.
