Job Description

Role Purpose

The Senior IT Business Analyst will support IMS application services and business transformation initiatives by partnering with business stakeholders, Plant & Global IT teams, and cross-functional project teams. This role is responsible for ensuring stable manufacturing operations, effective solution delivery, and continuous process improvement across manufacturing plants.

The position is accountable for IMS application maintenance and support, as well as assigned projects from planning and requirements definition through execution, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization. The incumbent will serve as a key liaison between business users and IT delivery teams, translating business needs into scalable, practical, and sustainable IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the IT Business Analyst and coordinate with stakeholders across manufacturing plants to align business priorities, application support requirements, project plans, and delivery expectations.
  • Manage IMS application maintenance activities, including day-to-day support, issue investigation, incident follow-up, enhancement coordination, service continuity, and operational stability improvements.
  • Lead assigned application and business transformation projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, requirements clarification, solution alignment, execution, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Engage business users across different functional domains to understand business objectives, assess operational challenges, identify process improvement opportunities, and define clear IT requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams, external service providers, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions within agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and budget expectations.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, business requirements, testing materials, deployment plans, support guides, training materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, user training, issue resolution, deployment readiness, and change management activities to ensure effective adoption of delivered solutions.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to standardize processes, improve operational efficiency, and optimize application services across manufacturing plants and business areas.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Information Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional experience in IT business analysis, application maintenance, application support, enterprise system implementation, or related IT service delivery functions.
  • Solid understanding of IMS application maintenance, application support, incident management, enhancement management, and service continuity practices.
  • Practical experience or working knowledge in one or more programming languages or platforms, such as Python, Java, .NET, VB.NET, or C#, with the ability to understand technical design and support solution discussions.
  • Practical experience or working knowledge in two or more application development concepts, such as Windows application development, web application development, PDA application development, API/interface design, and N-tier architecture.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, including MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, with experience in data analysis, query review, troubleshooting, or system support.
  • Strong capability to coordinate across plants and collaborate effectively in a multicultural and matrixed working environment.
  • Proven ability to lead projects independently and drive execution across planning, requirements management, testing, deployment, and stabilization phases.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, documentation, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experienced in engaging business users across multiple functional domains and translating business requirements into practical IT solutions.
  • Knowledge of application lifecycle management, service support processes, testing, deployment, user training, and post-implementation support.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Exposure to manufacturing, integration, or digital technologies is a plus, such as MES, control systems, AI/ML, ETL, data integration, reporting platforms, or smart manufacturing solutions.
  • Over five years of experience in system development with databases and N-tier architecture.
