The Sr Infrastructure Solutions Architect plays an integral role in defining and assessing the firm’s infrastructure and operations strategy, architecture and practices. This position may be required, based on the overall size and available competencies within the IT organization, to assume responsibility for security functions. This position will be required to effectively translate business objectives and risk management strategies into specific processes enabled by technologies and services.

Location

This position can sit in any of our U.S. offices and offers a hybrid work schedule.


Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains an architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security and infrastructure solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and threat drivers.
  • Develops strategy plans and roadmaps based on sound enterprise architecture practices.
  • Develops and maintains architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations.
  • Drives new business initiatives, modernizing the existing infrastructure and operations to cloud-native architecture and apply appropriate architecture patterns and design principles.
  • Manages the governance, relationship and performance management of vendors who are under contract to provide services and maintenance support.
  • Establishes relationships and works with managers at all levels independently.
  • Articulates the problem statement and openly brings up challenges, roadblocks and impediments. Negotiates, influences and drives solutions with directors and for tactical and strategic enterprise architecture approach and business capabilities.
  • Leverages industry trends to drive innovation and solution excellence across various functional domains.
  • Leads firm-wide cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives for business and issue resolution.
  • Reviews new architectures, services, and products to understand overall design, network costs, implementation issues, and operational challenges.
  • Understands the interconnectedness of the technical infrastructure with the rest of the business is one of the core value propositions of infrastructure architecture. This allows infrastructure architects to get a view of the impact of change in business strategy on infrastructure requirements and, conversely, the impact on the business of any changes to the infrastructure.
  • Works with peers, Executive teams and vendors to understand technology roadmap and identifies current and future technology requirements for enterprise infrastructure and operations.
  • Tracks developments and changes in the digital business and threat environments to ensure that these are adequately addressed in security strategy plans and architecture artifacts.
  • Participates in application and infrastructure projects to provide security planning advice.
  • Participates in threat modeling of services and applications that tie to the risk and data associated with the service or application.
  • Participates in security assessments of internal systems, applications and IT infrastructure as part of the overall risk management practice of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills

  • Five plus years' experience in Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS).
  • Strong technical, analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience leading and participating in large deployment projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in articulating the business drives and architectural approach/trade-offs during discussions for solution buy-in at various levels and gain consensus.
  • Demonstrated data-driven mindset and decision-making skills.
  • Ability and willingness to multi-task and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Ability to adapt to moving targets as requirements change.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed.


Minimum Education

  • High School or GED


Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.


Minimum Years of Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the IT business/industry which includes experience architecting systems with advanced experience in Active Directory, Virtual Networks, Identity, Firewalls and VPNs.
  • Must have demonstrated abilities in core components (DNS, DHCP and active Directory).
  • Must have experience on Automation platforms and proven skills in scripting tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
  • Experience in articulating the business drives and architectural approach/trade-offs during discussion for solutions buy-in and consensus at various levels is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing “upward” among senior leadership. Experience leading diverse teams.
  • Must have a proven track record of leading large-scale projects, incorporating best practices.
  • Experience mentoring/training the engineering staff on complex technical issues.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.   


Work Environment   

The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in-office work, the requirement for which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firm’s discretion in the future.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $112,879 - $179,481 depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.

The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k).
