We are seeking a Infrastructure Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in infrastructure consolidation and systems integration. In this role, your primary focus will be planning, executing, and finalizing the technical integration of acquired entities into the infrastructure.
You will lead cross-functional workstreams to consolidate hybrid environmentscollapsing legacy Active Directory domains, migrating VMware clusters and SAN/NAS storage arrays, unifying Microsoft 365 tenants, and migrating perimeter firewalls into the ETG Fortinet standard.
Primary M&A Integration Responsibilities
Directory & Identity Unification: Architect and execute domain consolidation plans. Establish active directory domain trusts, migrate Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) objects, rationalize Group Policies (GPOs), and manage cutovers from legacy identity setups into our target hybrid/Entra ID structure.
Tenant-to-Tenant Migrations: Lead the consolidation of acquired Microsoft 365 environments into the corporate tenant. Execute migrations across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and device management (Intune/Entra ID join).
Compute, Virtualization & Storage Absorption: Conduct technical discovery on acquired physical and virtual infrastructure. Migrate and consolidate VMware vSphere (vCenter/ESXi) workloads onto target hypervisors and re-allocate or decommission acquired SAN/NAS storage arrays.
Network & Firewall Integration: Establish site-to-site IPsec VPN connectivity, harmonize IP addressing/VLANs, and merge network security rulesets from acquired firewalls into corporate Fortinet standards.
Endpoint & Server Re-homing: Lead the re-provisioning, domain-rejoining, or Entra-joining of acquired server inventory and end-user devices to enforce corporate compliance, patching, and endpoint protection standards.
Decommissioning & Legacy Sunset: Safely retire legacy domain controllers, physical servers, hypervisors, and redundant cloud software once integration and data retention requirements are verified.
Core Infrastructure & Technical Qualifications
Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Architect, with a proven track record of completing complex IT integrations, domain consolidations, or M&A migrations.
Active Directory & Identity: Expert-level knowledge of AD DS, DNS/DHCP, GPOs, cross-forest trusts, ADMT or equivalent identity migration tools, and hybrid Entra ID sync (Azure AD Connect / Cloud Sync).
Virtualization & Hardware: Strong in VMware vSphere environments (vCenter, ESXi hosts), bare-metal server provisioning (Dell/HPE), and SAN/NAS storage migration (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS).
Microsoft Cloud & Device Management: Practical experience executing M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, managing Entra-joined machines, and enforcing Intune MDM policies.
Networking & Security Fundamentals: Working experience configuring perimeter firewalls, routing, VLAN segmentation, and site-to-site VPN tunnels.
Migration Tooling Expertise: Experience utilizing enterprise migration software (e.g., Quest, BitTitan, AvePoint, CloudFuze) for mailbox, file share, and tenant consolidation

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
