This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr IA Engineer based in Brazil.

This is a high-impact engineering role focused on applying Generative AI to modern software development and cloud platform operations. You will work at the intersection of AI research, software engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. The role combines hands-on development with experimentation, benchmarking, and deployment of intelligent engineering solutions. You will build AI-powered copilots, internal tools, and automation that improve developer productivity and streamline the SDLC. Working closely with Platform, SRE, DevOps, and engineering teams, you will help embed AI capabilities into internal developer platforms and infrastructure workflows. This is an opportunity to influence how engineering teams build, deploy, operate, and improve software at scale.

• Build AI-powered developer tools, internal assistants, and copilots that support code generation, code reviews, testing, documentation, and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows.
• Research, prototype, benchmark, and deploy Generative AI solutions such as LLMs, RAG pipelines, and code-generation tools to improve software delivery and system reliability.
• Develop AI-driven platform capabilities, including predictive incident resolution, automated root-cause analysis, and cost-aware infrastructure optimization.
• Collaborate with Platform, SRE, and DevOps teams to integrate intelligent automation into internal developer platforms and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain solutions that improve developer velocity, reduce cognitive load, eliminate repetitive tasks, and optimize CI/CD processes.
• Investigate operational challenges and identify opportunities where AI can improve engineering workflows, deployment safety, software quality, and observability.
• Partner with engineering leadership and technical teams to evaluate emerging AI technologies and translate successful experiments into scalable solutions.
• Share knowledge through technical workshops, demonstrations, documentation, and internal collaboration.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience working with cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies including Terraform and Ansible.
• Advanced Python development skills, with proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Go.
• Practical experience implementing Large Language Models and AI-powered code-generation tools, including technologies from the GPT family, Claude, Codex, or StarCoder.
• Deep understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD automation and modern DevOps practices.
• Research-oriented mindset with curiosity and enthusiasm for evaluating emerging AI technologies through experimentation and benchmarking.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts and solutions to technical teams.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, or custom model fine-tuning is a strong advantage.
• Experience contributing to or building Internal Developer Platforms is desirable.
• Published research, open-source contributions, or projects applying AI to software quality, deployment safety, or observability are considered a plus.
