Senior HR Manager is accountable for partnering effectively with HR management, nuclear business management and organizations to drive business results through effective management and implementation of all HR projects, initiatives and activities in support of the assigned area of responsibility to ensure consistency of Vistra HR policies across Vistra’s Business Units.
This position may office out of our corporate office in Dallas or any of our Nuclear power plants in OH and/or PA
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Establish partnerships and maintain close relationships with nuclear management to recognize, identify, and understand business trends, issues, goals and needs for present and future business initiatives.
Provide strategic human resource insight and guidance on organization issues and business implications pertaining to specific projects and initiatives.
Direct implementation of new or revised HR programs and/or policies through effective communications and training of nuclear managers and employees.
Provide ongoing consulting and support services to business unit managers in the execution/delivery of HR programs and policies as well as guidance related to the management of their employees.
Manage HR projects and initiatives by coordinating and collaborating with nuclear management to develop and implement programs and processes to meet business needs.
Provide coordination regarding Employee Relations, including the discipline process, between the fleet nuclear team, HR and the legal department.
Support Employee Relations in timely completion of required regulatory filings and specific regulatory inquiries.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements:
10 or more years of progressive, related professional HR experience.
Experience partnering/working with nuclear organizations is a plus.
Demonstrated success and experience in consulting on and driving Compensation, Performance Management, Staffing and Learning and Development
Demonstrated leadership and customer focus skills
Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
Certification as SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/CP desired
Demonstrated success in Project Management
Knowledge of employment law and current HR trends
Minimum education is HS Diploma or equivalency
Key Metrics:
Progress towards high performance culture as measured by correlation between performance and pay within assigned business areas and by employee survey results.
Favorable overall opinion of business unit management served regarding integration and operation of the HR function within their business unit.
Measurable upgrade in talent quality within assigned business.
