Sr. HRIS Analyst

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, and reporting of the organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This role supports HR Operations and leadership decision-making by ensuring data integrity, system effectiveness, and delivery of workforce analytics to drive business results.

The Senior HRIS Analyst serves as a technical subject matter expert for HR systems and reporting, partners with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT, and supports system enhancements, integrations, and process automation initiatives aligned with business priorities.

The Senior HRIS Analyst develops project plans, supports execution of HR systems initiatives, and partners with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT to prioritize enhancements and long-term system improvements. This role serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and supports data integrity, system testing, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize HRIS systems to meet organizational requirements creating opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes.
  • Accountable for the effectiveness of the HRIS system
  • Administer and support HRIS functionality, including security configuration, data audits and corrections, implementation of new functionality, and participation in system conversions and data cleanup initiatives.
  • Assist in the design, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting of system enhancements and other automation projects utilizing dedicated Human Resources technology.
  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership before implementation.
  • Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate the application of upgrades or fixes. Maintains HRMS system tables. Documents process and results.
  • Develop and deliver training, documentation, and user procedures for HRIS functionality and system enhancements
  • Deliver workforce analytics and dashboards that support leadership decision-making across compensation, headcount, turnover, and organizational reporting
  • Develop ad hoc reports within HRIS to provide to management on demand.
  • Create internal standard reporting across departments.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS.
  • Understand and maintain employees' Data Privacy compliance measures, HR laws, and regulations associated with resource and data management. Follow appropriate change control processes and approval processes when applying updates to employee records and other system configurations.
  • Prepares ad-hoc and regular management reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 5 + years of HRIS experience
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong experience with UKG (UltiPro) required
  • Experience in creating reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Strong understanding/experience with People Analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to provide data-driven insights to senior leadership
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills
  • Ability to partner effectively across HR, Finance, IT, and business leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct formal presentations of findings and recommendations
  • Strong written communication skills to develop formal recommendations
