About the Role

The Senior HR Business Partner is a key architect of our culture. You are a partner who will help design and iterate the environment that enables our teams to win.

You will achieve this in two ways: work closely with our divisional leader to support their team with world-class talent & culture strategies, and be the owner of core HR programs, ensuring flawless execution.

A successful Nesto Group Sr HRBP is the rare individual who masters analytical skills to turn data into actionable insights, just as well as the soft skills required to support leaders and employees. Underpinned by a strong sense of ownership, your willpower is what drives our culture.

If this notion of building, not just managing, is energizing and motivating, you’re in the right spot!

Your responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering & Culture Design

  • Embed yourself in a core business function and become its senior leader & management team’s key partner in generating growth and value.
  • Use data from our HRIS (Rippling) and engagement tools to identify trends in people analytics, presenting actionable insights to your leaders.
  • Support the divisional talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational design efforts.

HR Program Delivery & Adoption

  • Own the execution of core HR programs for your divisions.
  • Act as a coach and partner to leaders.

Employee Relations & Coaching

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations.
  • Proactively coach managers on strategies to foster a positive team culture and drive employee satisfaction, helping them leverage Learning and Development programs and adopt company-wide HR programs to develop their people.

Process Innovation & AI Amplification

  • Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to build a strategic hiring plan, ensuring job descriptions are accurate and onboarding is seamless.
  • Champion and leverage new technologies, including AI, to amplify our people and processes, making us faster, more data-driven, and more effective.

Your Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, in a high-growth environment.
  • Highly analytical. You must be comfortable turning raw data into compelling business cases and insights.
  • Proven ability to build trust and wield influence with senior leaders. You are a trusted advisor who can coach and partner with leaders to navigate complex challenges.
  • Strong communicator with high emotional intelligence. You can be empathetic but firm.
  • A proactive ethos. You don't just follow a playbook; you find a better way to get it done and are comfortable operating in ambiguity.
  • A deep understanding of core HR functions, including performance management, compensation structures, labor law, and employee relations.
  • Fluent in English and French

Other Qualifications:

  • Nice to have: Experience with high-growth organisations, or post-acquisition environments.
  • Nice to have: Experience in operations management, management consulting, and-or technology startup.
  • Nice to have: A presence in one our our offices (Montréal, Toronto or Vancouver)

What We Offer:

  • Contribute directly to shaping the experience that will modernize the Canadian mortgage industry and build a world-class, high-performance HR function.
  • An opportunity to take on career-defining, high-impact work in an environment that believes in growth through challenge.
  • Learn and be challenged daily.
  • This is a high-impact and visibility role; you will work directly with the Nesto Group leadership.
  • Opportunity for growth within the company.
