Job Duties

  • Under limited supervision, works within the Corporate HR and Employee Relations department providing administrative support to the teams.
  • Assignments generally include such types of work as preparing complex reports and maintaining complicated records requiring careful selection, classification, or compilation of information from several sources.
  • Requires ability to analyze and resolve problems and effectively deliver information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Provides accurate and prompt response to a wide range of Human Resources customer inquiries. Utilizes knowledge of HR programs, documented procedures, policy manuals, HR databases, and other resources to resolve inquiries in person, via telephone, voicemail, or e- mail.
  • Interprets, applies, and communicates conceptual elements of Human Resources policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures organizational goals are met by interpreting and applying HR processes, replicating successful practices, proactively developing internal relationships, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Escalates issues that require specific, in-depth knowledge to the appropriate Business Partner or HR Manager.
  • Follows up on outstanding issues to ensure resolution, keeping the customer informed on the status, and closes out inquires when complete.
  • Some independence is exercised in defining methods and procedures used to reach an end product.
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Qualifications

  • Requires 5-8 years of experience.
  • Prior HR experience is preferred.

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Senior Administrative Specialist, or Principal Administrative Specialist.
