Job Description

This position is based on‑site and requires four days per week in the Brea office to support collaboration and business needs.


The Sr. Financial Analyst plays a key role in driving the organization’s financial performance by independently preparing, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial data. This role partners closely with cross-functional and operational leaders to evaluate results, identify insights, assess risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision making. This unique position will also support Investor Relations, playing a key role in the company’s communications with Wall Street analysts as well as current and potential investors. This role blends financial analysis, strategic messaging, competitive intelligence, and process management and improvement around forecasting and reporting.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the preparation of daily, monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and business relevant insights

  • Analyze actuals vs. budget/forecast and independently interpret performance drivers; proactively identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain complex financial models, scenario analysis tools, and reporting templates to strengthen planning and decision support

  • Drive core components of the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles, partnering with budget owners to understand assumptions and improve forecast accuracy

  • Manage financial data flows from ERP systems, perform advanced reconciliations, validate data quality, and resolve complex variances

  • Partner in month end close activities including advanced accruals, higher complexity account reconciliations, and cross functional review of financial entries

  • Provide analytical support for pricing strategy, cost optimization, business cases, capital investments, and enterprise initiatives

  • Partner with cross-functional teams as well as business and functional leaders to evaluate performance and provide strategic insights

  • Maintain strong governance over financial processes, ensuring adherence to accounting principles, audit standards and internal control requirements

  • Contribute to the development of communication materials including scripts, presentations, Q&A prep, and financial messaging

  • Track and summarize market and competitor developments by monitoring analyst reports, industry news, and equity markets

  • Assist in investor targeting, tracking and communication

  • Participate in meetings with investors and interact regularly with company executive leadership

  • Maintain high ethical standards and serve as a trusted advisor by providing fact‑based, unbiased financial insights—even when recommendations are unpopular

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in accounting, finance, or related field); advanced certifications or advanced degree is a plus

  • 3+ years of relevant finance or FP&A experience

  • Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle/SAP) and financial reporting tools (e.g. OneStream/Hyperion)

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial planning processes

  • Working knowledge of SOX, controls and procedures

  • Must be able to work 4 days at our corporate office in Brea, CA.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling); proficiency with BI/reporting tools preferred

  • Ability to work on-site during core business hours; extended hours may be required during major reporting and planning periods

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%

  • In depth financial acumen with the ability to solve complex analytical problems using multiple data sources and informed judgment

  • Demonstrated ability to enhance reporting, streamline processes, or develop tools using best practices and business insights

  • Strong communication skills: able to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations for senior business partners

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Strong influencing skills and a proven ability to partner effectively across departments

  • High attention to detail combined with strategic thinking

  • Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of complex workstreams and cross functional deliverables

  • Willingness to challenge status quo to innovate and improve processes

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
