Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking talented Sr. Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing world class firmware to fully maximize the strong hardware architecture of in-house servers. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating firmware for networking products, prototyping concepts, and investigating in new technologies. In this position, the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products.
Be proficient and expert in Networking code related development:
1. Networking firmware/software development/maintenance
2. Datacenter switch platform development
3. Clarify and fix issues to join code modification/maintenance.
4. Design document writing

7+ of the following requirements should be matched
• MS in EE or CS/CE preferred
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Linux Shell and Java Scripts.
• Experience in switch development for 10+ years, Data Center switch is preferred
• Experience in embedded or Linux vulnerability discovery or malware detection. .
• Knowledge in L2/L3 protocols: VLAN, MSTP, VxLAN, MC-LAG, OSPF, BGP.
• Knowledge in chipset driver, switch peripheral I/O, and bootloader: ONIE, ONL.
• Knowledge in open source development: SONiC.
• Knowledge in network topology application/configuration.
