Job Description

IT Finance experience required (financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cost analysis, or related functions).

Must be local at the time of application. This is an onsite role in Brentwood, TN, requiring attendance Monday through Thursday (4 days per week). No relocation package.

Note: Candidates must meet both the IT Finance experience and local residency requirements to be considered.

The Senior Financial Analyst, IT
Finance supports financial planning, analysis, reporting, and controls
activities for assigned Information Technology spend areas. Partners with the Managing
Director, IT Finance, IT budget owners, project managers, Procurement,
Accounting, PMO, and other Finance stakeholders to support accurate budgeting,
forecasting, variance analysis, capital tracking, vendor spend analysis, and
recurring financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following
functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job
performance requirements.

  1. Prepares financial analysis, reporting, and variance explanations for assigned IT spend areas, including operating expense, capital spend, vendor services, maintenance, and technology projects.
  2. Supports the annual IT budget and monthly forecast processes by gathering inputs, maintaining templates, validating assumptions, preparing schedules, analyzing trends, and documenting risks and opportunities.
  3. Monitors actual spend, purchase commitments, project costs, invoices, accruals, and forecasts changes to help ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and timely.
  4. Supports financial tracking for assigned IT portfolios, ensuring spend, commitments, forecasts, and reporting are organized by the applicable IT functional structure.
  5. Assists with capital project financial tracking, including approved budgets, actual spend, commitments, forecast to complete, project coding, capitalization support, and project closeout activities.
  6. Prepares monthly reporting packages, dashboards, reconciliations, schedules, and analysis for review by the Managing Director and IT leadership.
  7. Supports financial models, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and scenario analyses for technology investments, renewals, and cost optimization opportunities.
  8. Researches and explains budget variances, forecast changes, vendor spend trends, software renewal activity, hardware lifecycle costs, and project financial performance.
  9. Maintains financial files, templates, reporting tools, trackers, and documentation to support consistent IT finance processes and audit-ready records.
  10. Works with IT budget owners and project teams to gather information, validates financial data, follows up on open items, resolves routine financial questions, and prepares issues for review by the Managing Director.
  11. Identifies data issues, process gaps, unusual trends, potential financial risks, and variance drivers.
  12. Document findings and recommends next steps for escalation or resolution.
  13. Supports development, documentation, maintenance, and consistent execution of IT finance policies, procedures, templates, trackers, reporting standards, and standard work.
  14. Domestic U. S. travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate from an
    accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Finance,
    Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is required.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience
    in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, business analysis, or a related financial
    role is required.
  • Experience
    preparing budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, financial reports,
    reconciliations, and management schedules required.
  • Strong understanding of
    financial planning, operating expense management, capital tracking, accruals,
    project costs, and financial reporting required.
  • Ability to analyze detailed
    financial data, identify trends, explain variances, and summarize findings
    clearly for finance and non-finance stakeholder required.
  • Finance experience
    with supporting various IT areas: cybersecurity, infrastructure, end-user
    computing, hardware, software, SaaS, cloud, vendor contracts, or technology
    project financial management preferred.
  • Experience supporting capital project
    tracking, capitalization processes, fixed asset activity, or project portfolio
    reporting preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, EPM, planning, reporting,
    procurement, business intelligence, or project portfolio management systems
    preferred.
  • Experience developing dashboards, recurring reports, financial
    trackers, or process documentation preferred.
