Job Description
The Sr. Financial Analyst provides advanced support with financial and business information, analysis, and modeling in support of the company's business objectives. This includes, but is not limited to the annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, monthly financial reporting, Key Performance Indicators, presentation preparation, and business controls. The analyst will also work to develop enhancements to existing processes to drive improved financial transparency and awareness. Analysts may also perform competitor and industry analysis and support special projects that are aligned with the company's business goals.
This position will serve our Enterprise Division, located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
- Assist in the development of the annual operating plan and monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- Provides support for preparation of business review presentations, as well as, completes work on special projects for senior business team leaders that are in alignment with company-wide goals.
- Prepare pricing.
- profitability and sales analytics and reporting for the division.
- Develops a strong understanding and supports the administration of the Hyperion Planning Application/Oracle Data Warehouse.
- Performs variance and trending analysis.
- May be responsible for analyzing the monthly financial performance and providing commentary for the material variances to the prior year and plan.
- Efficient data mining/querying and reporting.
- Prepare and update month and quarter-end reports.
- Perform advanced analysis activities, including defining, measuring, and communicating core metrics and providing insight to the business.
- Orientation to continuous performance improvement coupled with root cause analysis.
- Emphasis and focus on driving profitable growth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation, or delivery of processes, programs, and policies using specialized knowledge and skills.
- Financial analysis experience.
- Oracle General Ledger experience.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and Oracle.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
- Self-starter with strong teamwork skills and the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders across functional areas.
- Experience with modeling income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts such as ROI, NPV, EVA, etc.
- A proven analyst with experience forecasting and providing actuals in a timely and accurate manner critical.
- An affinity for talking with numbers.
- Inherent aptitude to quantify and support conclusions with data.
- Demonstrates problem-solving ability with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets.
- Proven track record of developing technical skills (VBA, SQL, Hyperion Planning rule development, Oracle Data Warehouse report writing, Dashboards creating and maintenance, etc.) Superior analytical, reasoning, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
- Keep up-to-date on technology trends, developments & best practices.
- Must have a strong customer service focus.
- Experience in a high volume durable goods manufacturing environment.
