About This Role
The Carrier Fire & Security FP&A department, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL has an opening for a Sr. Associate FP&A Analyst. You will serve as a key member of our global headquarters team working closely with our Finance senior leadership. The incumbent will gain an understanding of the realities of working in a global role, and be part of team which embraces continuous improvement, as we position the business for rapid growth.
This role will support the F&S Finance team in meeting cyclical reporting requirements and delivering analytical support and partnership to the F&S leadership team and larger organization. You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to reporting accuracy and detail, and have a passion for continuous improvement and creating best-in-class processes. This position operates in a rapidly changing environment and requires excellent time management and adaptability
Key job responsibilities:
- Support the consolidation, analysis, and reporting of monthly forecast and close. Consolidate information into business-wide financial statements and prepare for review with management
- Financial reporting, analysis and annual planning, as well as preparation of action plans and recommendations for business and operational decisions
- Remain current on key financial outlooks and business activities to incorporate in forecasts, analyses, and target considerations
- Drive working capital optimization through cash flow analytics and evaluation of working capital metrics, providing insight for cash forecasting
- Partner with FP&A leaders and Executive Leadership Team on Functional Budget targets and provide variance analysis, corrective actions
- Support special cross-functional projects/financial analysis to drive simplification & cost out across organization
- Evaluate standard processes, utilize technologies, and make recommendations to automate and increase efficiency
- HFM maintenance, reporting and consolidation
- Provide support for senior executive presentations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting
- 2+ years in FP&A or finance role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, organizational and people development skills
- Forward thinking, strategic and execution oriented
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet development skills, along with prior advanced knowledge of financial consolidation systems (HFM preferred) and Excel
- Work and interface well with various organizations and personnel at all levels
- Manage concurrent assignments and respond quickly to ad hoc requests
- Be self-sufficient and self-starter
