Job Description

Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of North Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers, truck and van accessories, carports, playhouses, chicken coops, and dog houses. We serve our residential, commercial, fleet, and government customers through our 150+ retail store locations in eighteen states, supported by our corporate offices (in Mount Airy, NC, and Cobden, IL), distribution centers, and strategically located manufacturing facilities.

The Sr Financial Analyst position is located at the Leonard Mt. Airy, NC Customer Support Center (CSC), with operations in the U.S. and will be responsible for analysis of financial statements, developing and enhancing PowerBI reporting, gross margin and PVM analysis, in addition to as needed ad hoc reporting and analysis This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Finance and does not have direct reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of PowerBI reporting.
  • Ensures data integrity between the PowerBi system and source data.
  • Works with the Sr Director of Finance to implement technological solutions to enhance visibility and reporting of key business drivers.
  • Supports a timely and accurate monthly reporting process.
  • Performs analysis and support to internal customers as needed.
  • Work with different functional areas to ensure reporting and metrics are designed and delivered in a timely fashion.
  • Manage and execute multiple, competing priorities
  • Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Develops and implements financial metrics and reporting that supports business growth and profitability.
  • Conducts financial analysis and variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide recommendations to management for performance improvement.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the finance function, implementing best practices and automation where applicable.

Competencies (skills, knowledge, and abilities):

  • Experience developing and implementing PowerBI reporting.
  • Advance knowledge of how to leverage PowerBI to provide easy to use reporting and analysis for different functional areas
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PowerPivot, PowerQuery, and macro building.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience building PowerBI reports, using Power Pivots and Power Query to aggregate and analyze data.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a finance environment. Retail and/or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Most of our stores have a fully equipped spray booths with state of the art equipment. We made it our mission to find the best technicians, train them more, and keep them happy.
