Job Description

We are looking for a talented Sr. Finance Manager - Aftermarket to join our team specializing in Sales for our CDBS (Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) location at Florence, KY

This position is a key member of the leadership team. Strong candidates should have significant analytical, managerial, and strategic experience. Managing the finance department (including shared services members) and supporting the other leadership team members is critical for execution of long-term strategic goals.

  • Financial Leadership & Business Partnering: You will partner with stakeholders to interpret financial data, forecast future performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide insights that influence decisions, mitigate risk, and drive positive business results while valuing diverse perspectives.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Business Partnering Skills Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, develop partnerships, and influence decision-making by demonstrating a deep understanding of the business. This will help drive performance aligned with organizational goals and strategies, while mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Expert Financial Analysis Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights to stakeholders regarding the financial impact to drive business improvement. Ensure the integrity of financial data by investigating variances and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proficient Financial Planning and Forecasting Utilize financial forecast data to provide forward-looking projections that facilitate decision-making. Partner with stakeholders to analyze trends and validate assumptions, ensuring forecasts align with the organization’s goals and strategies.
  • Comprehensive Financial Regulations Acumen Evaluate and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, such as tax, banking, pension, and local accounting. Educate stakeholders on key regulatory requirements and their implications for the business.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.

Experience:
Significant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience in a small operations manufacturing or distribution center environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • NA Aftermarket Ownership over P&L budgeting, forecasting, and actuals consolidation for three distribution and one remanufacturing site.
  • NA Aftermarket leadership team member—providing guidance, impact, evaluation, and recommendation to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Provide information and analysis that outlines business and operational performance, gives insights that can be actioned on, and drives positive performance of the Aftermarket business.
  • Management of NA Aftermarket finance team.

Additional Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Significant managerial and strategic business experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (required)
  • Advanced Microsoft Access Skills (preferred)
  • AS400 Experience (preferred)

This role offers multiple location options for internal candidates : Florence, KY (preferred) Troy, MI Columbus/Indianapolis, IN.

External candidates will be considered primarily for the Florence, KY location.
