Job Description

About Us

At WeWork, we provide flexible workspace solutions to help businesses of all sizes thrive in more than 37 countries worldwide. The future of work is here, and we’re not just a part of that movement—we’re leading it. United by a desire to build a global community, our purpose is to give members the support to do their best work, and the space to take their ideas to new heights. Join us as we empower tomorrow’s world at work.

About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Latin America, you hold ultimate accountability for the operational integrity, safety compliance, and financial efficiency of our regional footprint. As the most senior facilities leader in the region, this high-impact executive role bridges the gap between macro regional strategy and building-level execution.
In this role, you will work in lockstep partnership with the Area Directors (Community) to deliver an uncompromised standard of service excellence across the market. Directing a high-performing regional leadership team—consisting of Facilities Managers, the regional Contract Manager, and the Health & Safety Senior Lead—you will shift operations from reactive maintenance to strategic asset preservation, ensuring our spaces remain a world-class canvas for our members.

Key Responsibilities
Asset Preservation, Procurement & Financial Stewardship

  • Financial Engineering & Budgetary Governance: Champion the regional OpEx budgeting and forecasting process. Analyze monthly financial lines (Cleaning, R&M, Utilities, Consumables) to catch cost anomalies, capture efficiencies, and maximize asset lifecycles.
  • Strategic Contract Negotiations: Lead high-level commercial negotiations and oversee enterprise-level service contracts, including hard and soft services (MEP, Janitorial, F&B, and Office Supplies).
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Leverage predictive analytics to track portfolio-wide trends, reduce operational defects, and optimize regional OpEx spends.
  • Lifecycle & Capital Improvements: Oversee all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) frameworks and Capital Improvement (CAPEX) projects, ensuring legal, code, and health & safety compliance across all properties.
  • Handover & Development Integration: Partner with the Development team during new building openings and Capex projects; own the snagging/punch-list process to ensure seamless asset transfers from construction to long-term operations.

Leadership, Vendor Governance & Area Director Alignment

  • Managing Through Leaders: Direct, mentor, and scale your senior leadership team—including Facilities Managers, the regional Contract Manager, and the Health & Safety Senior Lead. Empower them to own their local clusters while building a regional culture of radical accountability and technical excellence.
  • Area Director & Community Partnership: Forge a powerful strategic alliance with Area Directors to align facilities execution with localized business goals, tracking Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and physical asset health to guarantee premium service delivery.
  • Tier-1 Vendor Governance: Oversee relationships with critical third-party facilities and janitorial partners, establishing ironclad KPIs and SLAs while holding suppliers to uncompromising global standards.
  • Matrix Integration & Stakeholder Management: Partner seamlessly with cross-functional leadership—including Finance, Legal, IT, and Procurement—to break down corporate silos, de-risk operations, and achieve unified regional targets.
  • Community Empowerment & Escalation: Serve as the ultimate point of resolution for complex facilities or building emergencies, educating and aligning building-level Community teams to run operationally excellent spaces.
  • Global & Regional Rollouts: Act as the regional steering champion for global initiatives spanning Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Energy & Sustainability, and specialized security protocols.

About You
Experience & Knowledge

  • The Track Record: 7+ years of progressive leadership in commercial real estate asset management, luxury hospitality engineering, or large-scale multi-unit facilities management.
  • Leader of Leaders: Proven experience managing decentralized teams and specialized senior professionals (Contract Managers, H&S leads) across multiple markets, cities, or countries.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep, practical knowledge of commercial MEP systems, complex HVAC configurations, structural plumbing, and advanced Fire & Life Safety networks. A technical trade background is highly valued.
  • Launch & Asset Experience: Proven history of opening new business units or managing complex landlord/lease handovers, with a sharp understanding of lease operations and structural liability.

Core Skills & Qualifications

  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant credentials (IFMA, CFM, BOMI, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  • Analytical Fluency: Highly proficient in extracting actionable business insights from technical management platforms such as Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Cross-Functional Agility: Superior communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at both the regional executive level and the building staff level.
  • Mobility: Willingness and flexibility to travel 35%–50% of the time across the assigned territory to conduct physical portfolio audits and anchor regional operations.
