Join our Facilities team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to global healthcare! As a Senior Facilities Coordinator, you'll contribute to maintaining and optimizing our facilities. You'll oversee daily operations, coordinate maintenance activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for employees and visitors. This position offers the opportunity to enhance operational excellence while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 2 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, or related field
• Preferred Fields of Study: Facilities Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field
• Required certifications (e.g., low voltage electrical certification, pressure vessel certification)
• Technical/vocational qualifications in building systems and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, fire systems)
• Experience with facility management software and maintenance tracking systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
• Experience coordinating maintenance schedules and supervising contractors
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, including GMP standards
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional environment
• Physical ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation when required
• Experience with space planning and office relocations
• Demonstrated success in budget management and cost optimization
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
• Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes
