An expert storyteller who is endlessly curious and creative. The ADX Events and Creative team is in search of a dynamic, experienced writer with strong executive presence who is a strategic partner to senior leaders, helping them bring to life critical business narratives that empower small business owners and communicate the vision of Amazon’s Worldwide Operations team across our suite of global events. This individual must have a passion for words but also in diving deep and understanding the business behind the storyline. This empowers them understand how the dots connect and opportunities to uplevel the narrative with data and anecdotes. They look at a script as part of the holistic narrative being driven by an event and find opportunities to reinforce core messages and connect dots between across programmatic updates and are a problem solver who understands how to surface and evaluate tradeoffs to find common ground.
Key job responsibilities
• Ghostwrite engaging short and long form scripts for senior Amazon leaders that bring to life critical business narratives, inspire audiences, and deliver educational moments.
• Polish scripts, abstracts, and/or host remarks to improve overall storytelling and generate red threads between narratives (where applicable).
• Work with dozens of stakeholders to determine the right data and anecdotes to surface to build an argument and/or showcase the vision of a business line
• Dives deep to understand the business they are writing for to make recommendations on how to position information and understand what will resonate with the audience
• Collaborate with creative teams and agencies on ideas to bring written concepts to life visually on screen and on stage.
• Manage dozens of stakeholders to help understand business priorities and builds them into a holistic narrative
• Partner closely with event content strategist to ensure they understand the goals and messages of an event and how to leverage the script to bring those concepts to life a most compelling way
• Consult with internal team members and stakeholders about best practices and ideas for how to approach complex narratives and story lines

The ADX team builds innovative and engaging community-focused products for internal and external Amazon partners, including the Delivery Service Partner community. Small business are critical to many aspects of Amazon’s ecosystem and ADX helps these partners be successful by building communities that connect, inform, and inspire the ecosystem of entrepreneurs and business owners who work in harmony with us to improve delivery flexibility, speed and reliability for our customers.
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
