JCO is currently on the lookout for a Sr. Electrical Estimator for one of our top clients! The Duties will include:

• Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Identify parts of project that may be key to making a competitive estimate.
• Read and understand all bid documents. These are to include all drawings, scope of work, contract documents and project specific specifications. Evaluate areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub estimates for assigned bids.
• Develop labor productivity and (installation unit costs where applicable) based on projected site conditions and historical data.
• Prepare detailed listing of material and equipment items for the estimate and to obtain quotes.
• Support Junior Estimator in work with subcontractors and vendors for pricing, the expectation of three estimates per trade or material.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and be responsible for soliciting quotes. Review quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.
• Draft scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects.
• After the successful bid ; compile all bid information and disseminate it into appropriate project folder files. Lead project turnover meetings, and work with operations throughout the pre-con phase. Maintain files of all working documents to back-up estimate figures and update the Rosendin approved estimating program.

The Ideal Person will have:

• 3 + years of Electrical Estimating experience
• Bachelors Degrees preferred but not required
• Strong computer skills including 3D software, Bluebeam, and/or Accubid
