The Compliance Specialist works in the Central Compliance organization and is responsible for providing Compliance support to our plants and fleets.

The Regulatory Reporting Environmental Compliance Manager will be a part of the Regulatory Reporting Group within the Central Environmental Compliance department, responsible for managing regulatory reports and fees for Clean Harbors facilities, subsidiaries and fleets in the US and Canada. The role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Involves ongoing oversight and support of operations, with occasional travel to facilities as needed for inspections, audits, regulatory engagement, and incident response.
Responsibilities
Internal audit of waste tracking, risk management with regulatory agencies, customers and regulatory compliance associated with site/fleet regulatory reporting processes.
Qualifications
Completing regulatory reports with deadlines to state and/or federal agencies.
Reports Managed:
Federal, State, Transport or municipality Waste Reports and fees – US and Canada.
Competencies:
Knowledge of DOT and USEPA/STATE EPA regulations – MOE Canada
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Deadline oriented
Project oriented
Familiar with waste tracking systems.
Attention to detail, motivated and self-starter.
